I just wish they wouldn't charge as much for it. The other problem is you never know what brand of cyro you'll get on a scale of make your back make noises to snap baby necks and give you unnecessary x-rays.

I used to get chiropractic readjustments once a month because of hockey, you didn't just believe there was a difference you could feel it in your body. You could feel the relief on your spine and neck. It can end with you ending up with x-rays, if you go to someone who doesn't have any idea what they are doing.

Most of the world is ignorant about the body. When injured, they go to a general practitioner and expect they will know everything about them, but most generals don't have the knowledge. Their solution is to give drugs and rest( Or traction or surgery). A chiropractor will actually help you solve the issue, get to know your body and then work on exercises to help you prevent the same injury in the future( If surgery is your only option, then they will recommend it ). Do your research. The chiropractors I have dealt with were well educated in the nervous system, the mechanical joints of the body and the structure and point loads of the body( to put it simpily).There are crooks that are general practitioners and crooks that are chiropractors. As well, get to know the Doc before you employ them, and chances are you will have a good experience.
Don't be scared of something new, go educate yourself.

I got a discectomy for a 10mm bulging disc. It was causing me sciatica, and caused so much pain I couldn't walk. Total cost was about 35k including ER room.

Luckily the hospital had a brain surgeon in the house who was willing to operate on me. Told me this was the most basic operation he could do compared to the brain stuff. Did a damn fine job.

This shit is serious .

Chiropracty is probably bs as a science, but personally I enjoy when they rub me with tingly lotion and crack my back/do range of motion stuff on me. If you can get it for free, its a nice way to spend an hour of free time. Also, massages are good.

It's a bit unfair to compare a general practitioner to a specialist. Then say because chiropractors are specialist and GPs aren't chiropractors are the right choice, compleaty ignoring that there are physiotherapists which would be a much more fair comparason.

I eat healthy, exercise every day, workout once a week, stretch, and do my own chiropractic exercises once a week.

I don't ever get sick, and simply don't need doctors for anything.

Prevention is what you should be looking at.
Doctors treat illnesses that often could have been avoided.

My brother and I come from the same parents, so genetically we're similar, but we couldn't be more different in appearance, and health.

I eat well balanced healthy meals,
he eats processed foods, fast food, and junk food.
He hates fruits and vegetables, eats crap and thinks god made him 100 pounds overweight.

His Doctors make a fortune telling him he has dozens of illnesses, and selling him 20 or more prescriptions he takes multiple times a day. It's embarrassing having to admit that he's my brother, but I will miss him when he dies. He just won't listen to me. Isn't it proof enough that I'm in perfect health, and physically fit, to convince him that his doctors are lying to him. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink, and my brother is a stubborn mule.

Fuck doctors, and chiropractors both. Oh and vets too. My dog got hit by a car. The vet said he needed surgery. The surgeon said $6000 and I said go fuck yourself. Trying to tell me this and this are broken and need to put pins in the dog's leg. I'm looking at the fucking xray, the tendon was stretched, but still attached to the damn bone. He didn't need surgery, he needed physical therapy, and he was back on his feet in 2 days, 100% recovered in 10 days.
Apparently my vet was expecting a kick-back from the surgeon he referred me to, and was pissed that he didn't get his cut. Tried to accuse me of animal cruelty. Animal regulation came out to inspect, and based on what the doctor told them they couldn't believe it was the same dog. There was no evidence he had ever been injured in the first place.

Are you familiar with how to d/l books from irc? I, too, am on the hunt for medical books (particularly physical therapy stuff) and there's one bot in one irc channel with over 100 medical books for free download in either .txt or .pdf format. It's not a great collection, but it's a nice start.
