i was checking nhl's schedule because since the 7-1 i can't even football anymore so i need a new sport to follow (and mma suck balls right now)
are there multiple games everyday? what the fuck
Looks like it. Anyway, who is a good team to follow?
I'm thinking Toronto or Chicago, I like the history and theme of both.
Thing is, one is Canadian and the other feels with bandwagoning. Thoughts?
Chicago are reigning champs, so don't follow them. Toronto is a bigger failure of a franchise then the cubs, browns, and lions put together. Follow Edmonton or Buffalo. Good young talent on those teams. They will be really good teams in a few years.
There are a lot of teams in the league and the season is long so yes there are multiple games played each day with the exception of the all star break or the winter olympics. Pick a Canadian team if you want to be comfy and pick a US team if you want to win.
Follow the Jets. Very good team who just signed a great player for years to come. Plus, the inhabitants of Winnipeg look just like you :^)
Don't fucking pick Oilers like some faggot in here said, Oilers have been shit for years and every year someone says "they'll be good in a few years" but they never are
Pick someone like Chicago or LA if you want to make sure you're watching a for sure Stanley Cup contending team
Pick someone like Boston or Washington if you want to watch a good team who could win a stanley cup possibly but it'll be more of a surprise than Chicago or LA
Yes. Teams can play on any day, but the scheduling is irregular, mostly because they share the buildings they play in with other sports teams and events. You'll see some teams play two games back-to-back and then not play again for a week and other teams play mostly every three days.
>Acquire a prospect hailed the successor to Wayne Gretzky
I fucking hate Edmonton with a burning passion and even I can't deny McDavid's talent
>How many cups have they won in the past 20 years
the same as deadmonton, 0 (zero), and that isn't going to change anytime soon.
deadmonton is literally >we wuz dynastyss n shiet
>then not play again for a week
This is extremely rare. Generally speaking (barring the Olympic Break/Allstar Break) the LONGEST a team will go without playing is 3 days. If you were to average out the entire the schedule for any team, it works out to be about every other day.
mcdavid is going to carry them kicking and screaming. He is way too good for that team/organization/fanbase. Like really fucking good, throw a team on his back good (or get a career ending mcl tear in the process). It wouldn't surprise me at all if he still got the rookie scoring title after missing half the year
ya that's also hilariously true. I'm pretty sure we're on a similar page here, I think edmonton top to bottom is awful, but you'd have to be delusional to not see that mcdavid is a generational type talent
They're just the ducks now, but they could honestly be better (albeit the 90s ducks were awesome). I dont think their record really reflects how dangerous they are or can be. They're one of those teams that could turn it on in the playoffs and win it all
>It wouldn't surprise me at all if he still got the rookie scoring title after missing half the year
Come on man, let's not get retarded now. Even if you want to pretend Panarin doesn't count, he's not catching Larkin, Eichel or even Domi
Ducks weren't good in the 90s, fampai. They just were the name of a movie and then had a team named after that series. They're not terrible, and could very possibly win their division, but I'd recommend a team in/near your time zone
The Ducks were shit in the '90s brah. Those were just movies. But yeah, they're okay. They've been picking it up recently after under-performing all season.
Keep time zones in mind when you're picking teams btw. Assuming you live in a non-Amazonian part of your country, west coast games will generally start at 12:30 AM your time.
Call ins on Boston sports radio on the greatest
>Ey dis is Mikey from DOAHchesta, just wanted to tawwk about the saaawwwx. I know it's Broons season, but all of us ain't puckheads
Anon... the only player on pace to score 100 this year is Kane with an absolutely unreal performance this season. And scoring has gone down every single year.
McDavid isn't hitting 100 points, ESPECIALLY not in Edmonton.
watching anime is a mental disorder
But what if the qt anime girls are nazis too? Is that okay, anon-kun :3
Any of the original six would be good. Long histories, stretching back to the 1920s and before. The originals are Montreal, Boston, Toronto, Chicago, Detroit and New York. The league has 30 teams, and each team plays 82 games plus playoffs. There are 1230 regular season games played per year, in a bit over 6 months.
Canes are on the upswing. If we had a couple more decent players we'd be a playoff team. Currently have an amazing young D corp coming up and a couple good goalie prospects. Building from the net out.
