I think this is pretty accurate.
Here's my shitty template if you want to make your own.
>implying Starr isn't the best ever
take this shit down op
This meme. Marino may be the least clutch qb of all time. If the game is on the line you would want just about any qb to have ever played the game at any point in time over him.
elway is quite possibly one of the most overrated qbs of all time. the guy turned choking into an art form and only won once the broncos cheated the salary cap to stack their roster
unitas is also overrated as well as peyton manning
tom brady is a system babby
the most talented qb to play the game is rodgers, anyone who denies this doesn't watch football. no one does what this guy does and i'm not packers fan either
Otto Graham should be the top of the top.
For all you fucking kids that say "Brady just wins", even though he went ten years between titles...
Graham went to the Championship Game ten years in a row, winning seven of the ten. Bobby Lane's Lions won a couple in a row to break things up. But no one "just won" like Otto Graham and Marion Motley, and that was before Jim Brown even arrived to the Browns squad.
Favre was the "clumsy, ballsy gunslinger" whereas Marino was the prototypical pocket passer with the quickest release in football history. The ball was in the receiver's hands 2 seconds after the snap from center.
When I did my list, I put Tark in the Demi-God list. Tough to put him at the God Tier without a championship, and I didn't feel like his accomplishments reached what Marino would later do (who made my God level). But OP's list with Marino as GOAT should have had Tark as a God by his standards.
>It's a Elway is not listed correctly in the "Elder God GOAT of GOATS" tier episode.
Moon is hard to put on the list with his no Superb Owl and epic playoff collapse. Jim Kelly was good, but he also lost to an inferior Giants team in the Owl. Tough to put them there, although they would probably be the next two guys on if I extended my list here
Elway is nearly GOAT but was out played by Montana, and had some up and down years. Ended strong though.
Don't talk about the history of Football if you only watch ESPN and the last ten years of football.
Wilson almost entirely undid all of the good from his first Super Bowl with his goal line interception. If he wins another you can put him on the list somewhere, but otherwise he needs a long career of great numbers to even be considered at best low Godtier.
>Ended strong though
implying he's not still going.
He hasn't even begun to peak, and when he does peak, you'll know because he's gonna peak so hard that everybody in Denver is gonna feel it.
He's in his prime, and I bet you he could bring the biggest dynasty to the NFL just based on what he's already done as a GM alone, and your loser team will be crushed by them because it's shitty, and that's just the way of the world. All he has to do is turn on his Super Bowl winning charm, and the NFL will be putty in his hands.
bress definitely in GOD and Favre in GOAT
Rodgers himself is already borderline GOD and should be in, in a year or two
a few missing for DEMI-GOD if people like aikman get in, like moon mccnab etc
favre > marino
literaly a meme shit who could do nothing but get BTFO in owls without his elite rb
i get that this is bait, so i fixed it for you.
Then Aaron Rodgers should win 3 more super bowls
Here is my shitty list. Rodgers will probably climb into Goat by the time he is done. Big Ben may climb into God as well.
I think rapistburger needs to be mentioned with his two owls and being a key component getting the Steelers' 6th Bowl. I haven't followed his career that closely at all but that would put him near Bradshaw levels
>Brees not GOAT or at least God tier.
Hes played in some shitty teams with no running game and still managed to be incredible. Even this season where hes meant to have declined he had the most passing yards with a missed game.
Post-season and 4th quarter, he turns into some type of God. Regular season he can be inconsistent. Definitely one of the better QBs in the league but hes usually good rather than incredible.
Romo should have won last year's MVP
had more fourth quarter winning drives and his numbers got better towards the end while Rodgers started off great and dropped in form
the MVP is won and lost in December but this Fudge Packer still won
tip top lel
Tom Brady is the GOAT. Tom Brady is the only one who would be in the top 5 talent wise and the top 5 career achievements wise. Rodgers is more talented than Brady but lacks the Belichick requires to reach career achievement GOAT.
Brees getting underrated Roughly a million times better than Starr, Elway, Bradshaw, Aikman, Kelly, fucking Warren Moon who shouldn't even be on these lists much less the HoF, or Warner
Elway should be lower. He's super overrated.
Starr should be GOAT tier. His stats relative to his era are awesome and he dominated in the playoffs.
Marino should also be one lower.
Rodgers is probably already in God tier.
1 Super Bowl win = GOAT tier
Don't mind me, just the actual GOAT coming through.
5x NFL Champion
2x Super Bowl MVP
105 postseason passer rating
>but his decision making isn't too great and he's not clutch at all.
Not this is some major bait.
I like how the meme on Rodgers went from "good decision maker with weak arm" to "strong arm but weak decision maker."
>Was celebrating with his former teammates that night and got plastered
Can't blame him for that, and can't blame him for saying that based Suzy Kolber is pretty and he wants to kiss her.
It was like the Brent Musburger/Katherine Webb incident, only 10 years earlier and Broadway Joe was drunk when he said it.
This is a misleading stat since it disregards all the times Rodgers tied or gained a lead in the 4th only to have the defense shit it away in under 2 minutes. Just look at this last season. He brought them back at least 5-6 times only to have a missed FG or never get the ball in OT
>rodgers dicision making isn't great and he isn't clutch
Dude pulled like 2.5 hail marys this season alone and he isn't clutch? He always ends in the top 7 qbs for rushing and is literally the best qb on film since Marino. His pocket movement, scramble ability, pre snap ability, and ball placement are all in the top 3 for all qbs
Manning is the most overrated QB of all time. May be the best regular season quarterback of all time. In the playoffs, he's just about as a good as a damn rookie. I'd have most of those guys over him any day.
I do appreciate the Big Ben love though. I can live with a Demi-God ranking. But if he wins at least one more, which I think he will, he's gotta move up.
Elway and Ben up one.
Could have a few more Demi-God and God Tier but at least if you followed those steps, the QB's on there would be in the right place.
>farve not goat tier
>3x consecutive mvp
>most consecutive starts
>had the most fun playing the game
>1st pass completed to himself
>would fuck your shit up senpai
>literally did not give a single fuck
When will this meme die?
Rodgers is the most overrated QB of this current generation. He's extremely accurate and has a cannon for an arm but seems to have trouble with elite defenses. Doesn't help that the Packers D always sucks except for the one year they won the owl with him.
Otto Graham is the greatest QB of all time and that's not even a contest
He was such a great QB he won an NBA championship
>Rapistburger better than Aikman
my fucking sides
Troy Aikman has only 24 more touchdowns than interceptions. If you include rushing touchdowns and fumbles lost as functional TD's/Turnovers, his TD/Turnover difference for his career shrinks to 11. 11 more TD's than turnovers.
Ben has had the better career. If Ben wins another Superb Owl, Ben will be a GOAT tier. Aikman is the Bradshaw of his generation.
any faggot who doesn't put marino in GOAT tier is a retard
marino put up FIVE THOUSAND YARDS his 2nd season in 1984
> era where defenses could slaughter the receivers and qb and get away with it
that record stood until 2011 when that shitty dome baby brees finally beat it in the pussy rules era
i'm not even a finsfag, but holy shit that might the most impressive state for quarterbacks outside of favres iron man streak
Yes you did. 49ers came up with the west coast offense and Marino came up with 5 wideout sets and teams had no answer for it for years, pretty much until the early 90s. Modern defenses are much faster and oriented to defend the pass so it's a more complex issue than going all THEY WERE KILLIN HIM BACK THEN HE'S THE GOAT like a fucking casual pleb.
Pure talent and skill wise, Young was superior to Montana. Obviously one has 4 rings and the other just one so people rate Montana higher but still, if I had to pick one of them in their prime I'd pick Young.
Again, learn about the history of the game. This is all after the Mel Blount rule. The West Coast/spread sets would've been murdered out of existence if they had taken place before this rule went into effect. The Mel Blount rule made careers for guys like Bill Walsh, Montana, and Marino.
You could still get away with a lot during the 80s but not nearly as much as the 70s.
manning belongs on the goat tier with brady and montana, he fixed his shitty playoff record and is the greatest regular season quarterback ever with a positive playoff record and 2 rings
not the clutchest by any means but he has stats out the ass and 2 rings + fixed record now
montana and brady definitely much better playoff wise, but manning did work in regular seasons in comparison
still think montana is the greatest ever, manning is just regular season and brady has arguable goat coach at least defensively and that 'system' even made that one scrub backup look respectable the year he was injured
could also argue with brady vs manning that manning did great with multiple coaches on multiple teams if you wanted, but i think obvious ranking would be montana > brady > manning, manning being up so high because of accomplishments and the fact he has a stupid amount of nfl records now
god damn espn has ruined sports
People say he's bad against good teams even though he won a SB with a top 5 all time playoff passer rating.
They forget he's bad against good defense because he's never had a HoF level talent on offense to throw to. Brady got to throw to Moss and Gronk. Rodgers only has had Nelson and Finley, neither of which will make HoF.
The only names i know are:
Dan Marino (Ace Ventura)
John Elway (South Park)
Tom Brady (Family Guy)
Bret Favre (There's Something About Mary)
Haven't heard of the others so i'm guessing they're not as relevant.
He was too good for his own good, never got a solid draft pick to get a good running back. The closest was Karim Abdul Jabbar.
Closest Marino got was in 1985, AFCCG against the Patriots everyone decided they were going to go full retard and have 6 turnovers. Had they won, the 85 bears would've got destroyed like they did on Monday night football. Marino was the only QB built to shred that meme 46 defense. 31-10 at half time nigger. Instead the cunt Pats got blown the fuck out who clearly didn't belong there.
>Based Lenny The Cool
>Shit all over muh purple people eaters in Superb Owl IV so badly they had to merge the AFL and NFL
