Top 5 of all time?
it's up there. if you look back at the regular season, and especially post season, you can see their massive success to keep Denver in the hunt the whole time. it's crazy. this game showed how offenses win games, but defenses win championships.
Von Miller had one of the best individual post season performances ever for a 3-4 OLB. The whole defense was stout, but Miller was HOF worthy.
Pey Pey deserves some credit for throwing 2 TD's to slay the Brady Beast. Pats were a tougher opponents than Carolina.
I think they're the best of all time due to having to play with Kubiak's shit offense. They did what they did and had to do it playing exhausted since the offense never stayed on the field. Literally no flaws in all 3 levels of their defense.
Line has Von, top 3efensive player in the league. Linebackers are super underrated. And THREE top 15 CBs. Safeties are big hitters.
Yeah, I say best of all time.
t. Vikings fan
I was talking about their regular season and post season in general. This game just showed how they can stifle the passing game, and block out the running game.
Look at the interior and exterior players on that D line. They were so well coached and skilled, it really did carry them to that Super Bowl, and eventually, the win.
Suspended Denver Broncos Pro Bowl linebacker Von Miller unsuccessfully attempted to corrupt the NFL's drug-testing program with the help of a urine collector before each was caught in a matter that will affect how the NFL's collection testing procedures are done, league sources said.
This helps explain why Miller's four-game suspension for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy suddenly and mysteriously was increased to six games and easily could have been up to a year, the sources said.
Miller's initial diluted sample counted as a positive test and led to notification of his four-week suspension under the NFL's substance-abuse policy. While Miller's reps and the NFLPA were prepared to fight the suspension vigorously in the appeals process, sources said the NFL, NFLPA and Miller's representatives became aware that the Broncos linebacker and the collector involved worked together in an attempt to help Miller avoid a failed test.
Sources said the collector worked in Miami, where Miller spends offseason time, and the collector reveled in knowing the Broncos linebacker while being, according to a source, "star struck." It led, sources said, to the collector's willingness to substitute another person's urine specimen for Miller's. It might have worked, sources said, had a second collector not discovered that Miller was not in the city where his collection was supposed to have taken place.
"He's fast," one source said of Miller, "but he's not that fast."
Keep trying senpai
I'm gonna say yes just because when was the last time a team even won a superbowl literally 99% on their defense, not just a major reason but like completely where the QB didn't even really matter
Yeah. The offense actually looked decent initially, but Carolina's defense really dominated after that. Broncos defense was just better. The offense gets a little credit for scoring 17 points off turnovers, Carolina couldn't do that.
00 ravens. Trent Dilfer. 02 Bucs. Brad Johnson. 2013 Seahawks, Russel Wilson. All really shitty QBs carried by elite D. 85 Bears but they did have Sweetness.
1. 85 Bears
2. 15 Broncos
3. 00 Ravens
4. 02 Bucs
5t. 90 Giants
5t. 13 Seahawks
>legion of boom better than lawrence taylor's giants, ray lewis/ed reed ravens, warren sapp bucs, von miller/demarcus ware broncos, or the best defense ever with singletary, ron rivera, refridgerator perry, etc.
I think the Broncos had the best defensive line of all time this year.
All top players in their positions. The linebacking corps is pretty underrated, great speed and tackling. Secondary got lit up one game and other than that, basically shut down the league. They also scored a lot of defensive touchdowns. So I say top 3 at worst.
i went to high school with this guy
i still live next to the high school we graduated from
i never knew him tho, since i was the autistic loner
>Top 5 of all time
>Top 5 to WIN an Owl
Probably, but I am sure there are 5 other defenses that could just as well make that claim. Obviously there is a subjective aspect to it. But of all-time? I really don't think so. But now that their defense just single handedly own them a super bowl, atleast this defense can TRY to make a case for it's self.
The 2013 Seahawks literally held the GOAT Offense to 8 points. Manning set the SB completion record in that game and still only scored 8 points. That's how good their defense was that year.
