anyone else think the thunder can beat the warriors if durant and westbrook go absolutely ham and just iso as much as possible. They have the talent and athleticism to beat any of the warriors defenders 1 on 1 and they got so much length and size on defense.
cleveland and the spurs both got btfo trying to move the ball as much as possible the warriors are just way too good at switching and hedging on screens and PnRs
my theory is minimal movement and forcing the defender to contest with no help would favour a team with as much pure talent on offense like the thunder
That would only work in regular season games. If they tried that in a 7 game series the Thunder would get BTFO.
You're basically playing into the Warriors favor if you want to have a chucking contest.
then what the fuck else is there, you cannot move the ball against them, i dont even need to look up the stats to know they are top 3 if not 1st in possesions per game, fastbreak points and points off turnovers. They get like 15-20 points a game from ridiculously easy layups and dunks from transitions and turnovers.
The cavs took 2 games off them by playing tight defense and eating up shot clock and getting good shots consistently.
>tfw don't feel the magic from last season
>tfw Brewer and Smith will probably never lead the Rockets on a historic comeback in this year's playoffs
I can only hope the Rockets get the 6th seed so they avoid Dubs/Spurs.
I think >>65254801 has a point. Think about how Lebron was able to take two games and then realize that he was fucking terrible on jumpshots. If Durant took control and hit an adequate number of jumpshots, and Westbrook did some stuff, they could win.
AND, Serge is basically Tristan Thompson with a jumpshot, so the paint wouldn't be clogged like with the Cavs.
Nah dude, this isn't anything like that.
Teams fight a LOT harder in the playoffs for that extra point or two here and there, and they'll do ANYTHING to get those points, sometimes even rules be damned.
That's that playoff intensity people talk about; it's a whole 'nother animal than what you see in the regular season.
he gets a lot of shit because he doesn't look like an NBA player, but he's an adequate role player. He's an above average defender and he used to be a good shooter. Hopefully it's just a confidence thing and his shooting form returns.
