>Denver’s pass rush hounded Brady relentlessly during the Patriots’ AFC title game loss to the Broncos, recording a QB pressure on 19 of Brady’s 61 dropbacks according to ESPN’s Stats & Information — the third-most Brady’s been pressured in a game since 2009.1 As a result, Brady was inaccurate — he completed just 48 percent of his passes — indecisive and, ultimately, ineffective as New England’s season came to an abrupt halt.
>muh brady gronk broship
Denver pushed hard and Brady folded right under them. Simple as that.
It was the O-line more than Brady himself. He's not superhuman, he can't make a read and then make an accurate throw quickly enough. You just can't scan your field of view in 2-3 seconds. The lack of an effective run game didn't help as well, it meant that once Denver covered the short pass there weren't many options.
That said, the game itself was quite close. It really came down to the missed PAT
To really see that it was the Offensive Line's failure, you have to notice that Denver only rushed 3 at times. That means 8 guys in the backfield, some playing zone/spy and others playing man. The fact that 3 pass rushers could get by 5 offensive lineman in the AFC championship game says it all. Bill better draft some fucking linemen.
the entire fourth quarter, look at the left tackle. he was getting BTFO on every single play. the DE would fly by him on every single play, including getting 2 sacks on brady. the o-line that we knew sucked, finally got what it had coming.
Maybe Brady shouldn't be an unathletic skinny-fat faggot and learn how to scramble a bit. I haven't played sports competitively in a few years and I can guarantee that I am faster/more agile than him. Take away his little crossing routes and he's nothing. He's a system and YAC babby. That touchdown was just a desperation heave to Gronk and was offensive PI anyway.
Boo fucking hoo, the colts, Seahawks, and chargers all had significantly worse o-lines yet patrishits always blame Luck/Wilson/Rivers/whoever and not the o-line. But the moment Golden Boy Brady could possibly be considered to have had a poor game? DA O-LINE DID IT
Brady had a poor game, the Miller INT was a terrible decision. but Miller and Ware were in the backfield on every play. You simply cant win when the QB doesnt even have 2 seconds to throw the football.
>needing a good O-line to make plays
Obviously credit to the broncos pass rush but I think the secondary deserves more praise than they're getting. Lots of teams have tried to bring pressure on Brady and lots of teams have watched him throw 5-10 yard quick-outs to his heart's content. Pats fans kept saying the pass rush couldn't work with all of Gronk Edelman and Amendola on the field but the secondary managed to keep them busy long enough for the pressure to get through.
Another reason why Tommy O'Brady is a system QB. That 4th & 1 playcall was fuckin retarded and he should've known that a pass behind the 1st down marker against a team that was flying to the ball all afternoon was stupid.
>throwing in the endzone during the super bowl
>That said, the game itself was quite close. It really came down to the missed PAT
Incorrect, they lost by 2, a pat is only 1 point.
if anything it was the missed 2 pointer which got picked off but there were other plays too which cost them the game.
She must have been heartbroken.
>>implying they'd need a 2-pt conversion if he didn't miss the PAT
20-18, if gots had nailed it then it may have ended 20-19
>>New Zealand in charge of understanding american sports
>implying I'm a kiwi
go back to your small town murica mentality
He literally looks like he's made out of chocolate there.
>muh manning has a noodle arm
>muh manning post season record
>muh manning INT
but the moment brady gets exposed as the overrated system baby he is everyone is in full defense. Plenty of other QBs can make results even if their OLine is shit so why can't muh rings man can't the second he plays a competent defense?
>then it may have ended 20-19
I'll explain it slowly. If he made the first PAT then when they got the touchdown at the end of the 4th Quarter they wouldn't have needed a 2 point conversion
How you let yourself get so flustered by one man is beyond me.
Brady got hit more in a single game than any QB in 9 years.
The Patriot's O-Line had the most combinations of personnel ever.
Denver's defense isn't competent, it's rated #1 in the league.
And what is your beef with Gronk? He put up 140+ yards and a last second touchdown.
>defense is GOAT
Fuck off with that garbage, did you start watching football last week? There are at least 5 better defenses just in the last decade. Fucking Broncos dick riders have no idea what theyre talking about.
>When Brady's Oline doesn't crumble
BRADY IS GOAT PLS GIVE ME HIS SEMENS
>When Brady's Oline crumbles occasionally
BRADY IS GOAT IT'S ALL HIS O LINE'S FAULT PLS GIVE ME HIS SEMES
Patsfags disgust me
>If the Pats won, they wouldn't have lost.
That is how stupid your argument is.
>If Brady didn't throw any number of INC passes
>If Brady didn't throw INT's instead of completions.
>If the Pats D held Denver to one less field goal.
You are hanging the game on a PAT kick early in the game as a reason for a loss. GTFO.
I'm a gambling addict that is extremely autistic over sports
The first two quarters were about
Denver:trying to expose the Oline and lack of weapons Brady has
They got that part done within the first quarter
New England: find a way to rout the defense , get enough time to let Gronk , Edelman , and Amendola break away from the corners and linebackers
They couldn't get that done because they had NO rushing game which is needed to mix the game up
No rushing game = defense already knows you're going to pass
3-4 , zone and rare man coverages all game
Just fyi, literally none of those people are making excuses for Brady or the o-line or whatever. Since you apparently can't grasp basic ideas, they are stating factually that if Gostkowski had made the first PAT, and everything else was equal, there would have been no need for the Pats to go for 2, as they could have tied it at 20 with another PAT. All those people were correcting the retarded NZ cunt earlier in the thread. Learn to read. Grow up, indeed.
What part of "everything else is equal" don't you understand? Brady still throws the 2 picks. The O-line still plays like shit. ONLY thing that would change if the first PAT was good would be that they would just kick the other PAT for overtime, 20-20. That's it. I hate Patsfags and Tim Bradley but come the fuck on.
Seriously what the fuck are you talking about, samefag? Nobody ever said something was irrelevant.
Fact 1: Idiot Kiwi only thinks game would have ended 20-19 if first PAT was made. False. In that scenario, Pats would have kicked for overtime, not gone for 2.
Fact 2: People pointed out, correctly, that he was full of shit and explained why.
Fact 3: You sperged at the wrong people for the wrong thing and are generally a huge fuckup at life. Just admit that, it'll make things easier.
Change the PAT play to an INT play or Change a Denver made FG play into a missed FG. Everything else stays the same. Get it dumbass?
You can't just change one thing in a fucking chess match and think everything stays the same. You Nigger simpleton. This is your lack of understanding showing.
Look at the argument I presented. Tell me why any X play or result will change a Y play or result in the overall game. It isn't as simple as replace 1 for 1. It changes the whole game management and play calling you dumb wooden block.
Maybe if Pats hit the PAT the Broncos go for a TD or 1st down instead of a FG. One play changes the whole game plan. Especially an early PAT miss dumbass.
Also don't forget your fat hoodie wearing god would have went for 2 even down by 1 as the last play. He wants to believe he is the genius everyone calls him. Suck a dick, your cheatriots lost. They always will lose. You can't change it.
Good job completely ignoring everything I said. It was a point of order that if the PAT was made the game would not have ended 20-18 or 20-19. Everything else is just you flailing around sperging for no reason because a foreigner said something retarded and he was corrected by multiple people and was objectively wrong. Step away from the keyboard and learn how to read. Seriously. It's pretty useful in the long run. While you're at it, learn how to compress all your thoughts into 1 post, not 3, before you sperg at me again. Thanks.
Don't be retarded. You want to change one thing in a game. You think it happens in a vacuum and won't effect any other aspect of that game. You are wrong. Playbooks, situational packages, audibles, time out management are all effected by the one play you chose to change.
In your wooden block head nothing in the game changes but the scoreboard. In reality, once the scoreboard changes in that PAT the game changes. Maybe Denver brings more heat, forces a couple more turnovers? Maybe Denver doesn't run so much to grind down the clock? Maybe Denver converts a 3rd down inside of a minute left in the game and seals it either way.
Quit being retarded and thinking one play doesn't matter. Every play (especially scoring plays) matters.
It isn't as simple as saying if they made the PAT everything would be the same. It wouldn't. Everyone who follows the NFL knows it. Broncos try and run the clock up by 7 vs 8? Not happening.
Come back when you graduate high school you idiot.
Take it up with the retarded Aucklander who started this shit in the first place. You want to get mad at somebody? Get mad at foreigners who pretend to understand the game but don't. Instead you get mad at people pointing out a simple, objective fact, and you get mad at me for apparently being a super Patsfag and a Brady cocksucker, which I'm not, at all. Keep arguing with your feewings instead of logic, though. I don't know why you're still arguing, because I wasn't even arguing anything in the first place. Just stating facts. Facts that you don't happen to like don't automatically mean that the people pointing out those facts are dribbling retards. Come back when you graduate middle school you idiot.
I'm not a retarded foreigner who doesn't understand the game or the rules. You are not a retarded foreigner who doesn't understand the rules, you are a retarded American who can't back up the bullshit he is trying to spew.
You are literally BTFO. Hands down BTFO. Dispute anything I said. Don't use a crutch foreigner. Try the actual reasons you were BTFO dumdum.
Let's focus on the score. Nothing you've said guarantees that the score would be any different if all those other variables were changed, understand? Actually, it probably would be different, but what was being argued earlier, by the foreigner, before you came in and chimped out on people, was this: if the Patriots had converted the early PAT, the game would have ended at 20-19. This is apparently assuming the Patriots would still have gone for 2 at the end of the game. Which is ridiculous and a fireable offense had Belichick actually chosen to do that. Therefore, there is no way to reasonably assume that the Pats still would have gone for the 2-point conversion. Score is at 20-19, they kick the added PAT, score is 20-20 and the game is going to overtime. It was a simple error on the part of the foreigner which was corrected by others.
You've spent this entire thread pointlessly disputing something that was not even suggested by those people, who correctly stated that had none of the variables changed except for the XP, the score would have been tied. Not 20-19, tied.
>You are literally BTFO
What was that about me graduating high school?
>mfw unaware kiwi causes new american civil war
>Not bringing up Talib being a dirty faggot aswell in the back of the endzone and literally holding Gronk down in a jump ball situation where Gronk wins eight times out of ten?
So am I. You're whining because all you saw was the contact with Talib which didn't end up hindering Gronk all that much. The vanially gorilla always pushes off in that situation anyway, so it's pointless to get mad about it.
>Not hindering Gronk that much
If you think him holding onto the back of Gronk's jersey while he's jumping didn't hinder him you're retarded.
I'm not defending shit. The Bronco's play dirty, period. Not saying the Pats don't. Either way, fucking Belichick didn't need to go for it on fourth and one with almost half a quarter still to play. That's what lost them the game, the repeated fourth down fuck ups near the end when they literally didn't have to.
I don't know if that "Pats don't settle for fieldgoals" media jargon that kept going after the Chiefs game actually got to him or what, but that was autistic as shit. Maybe Andy Reid's autism is contagious and that's why, after the post game handshake Belichick didn't know what the game clock was anymore.
>clinging so hard at that win over the playoffs texans
i know you are excited you finally got to witness your queefs winning a playoff game since you were born, but seriously stop embarrassing yourself meme streaker
It was more that Denver decided to do the one thing no one wants to do against the Pats despite the fact it works. Run a press man coverage. Teams are so afraid of giving up a big play or getting pick plays run on them that they don't give their rush a chance to get Tom by dropping back in zone so his first read is open. That is how Denver won, with their coverage forcing Tom to hold onto the ball and go through his progression vs snap Jullian/Gronk is open pass.
