Do you think Elneny should play if he looked good in training? When should his first start be?

Also, I think alexis definitely should be on the bench if he's fit
he could be a great weapon to use or we could just let him rest if he's not needed
although I somehow feel that alexis doesn't do bench

There are people who are actually happy and getting excited for Welbeck to come back. Why?

FACT: He is not going to play. He will be on the bench if he is even lucky. He will start in an FA Cup game but even that isn't concrete. Every position he plays is now full of players better or more senior to the team than him.

He has ZERO chance of breaking into the first XI. Wenger does not rotate players, and since we are in a weak position hasn't got the freedom to do so anyway.
>>
>>64947423
he is but it feels like hes in a poor spell of form. he might be tired idk
>>
>>64947423
He's still our best CB but he's definitely put in more below-par performances this season than last. Probably an fitness issue but it's worrying desu

Should have had two penalties tbf
>>
Setback v Liverpool is a big blow but not the end of the world

Already on 43 pts, realistically 80 should win the league this season (unless City finally get their shit together and go on an amazing run)
That leaves 37 pts to gain

9 home games remaining, all winnable but lets say we're allowed to drop 5 pts at home from those games

That equals 22 pts remaining, leaving 15 pts to be gained away.

Should easily win v Sunderland and Bournemouth, leaving only 9 pts required from Everton, City, West Ham, United, Stoke and Spurs

Though the win at Anfield after going behind would have been a massive boost

And if City do go on an amazing run we had our chance to pull ahead but dropping easy points v WBA, Norwich, Spurs and Southampton caused it, onyl ourselves to balme
>>
>>64948997

>>

Like I said, Welbeck is nowhere near the starting eleven and might not even be on the bench.

Walcott will be dropped from Sanchez. The front three will be Sanchez-Giroud-Campbell.

If an attacking sub will be made, it will be to bring the senior and superior player, Walcott on for Giroud. So where where will Welbeck fit in? If he is on the bench, then Chamberlain won't be in the sqaud (can't have Walcott, Welbeck and Chamberlain on the bench).

His best bet at getting playing time is being a 75th minute sub for Campbell, or picking up minutes against bottom half teams/FA Cup, like Wenger did recently (dropping Campbell.

Obviously that would mean Chamberlain is out of the squad. And when Wilshere comes back, Wilshere will be guaranteed a bench place at the minimum.

Basically, Welbeck or Chamberlain may as well leave the club this summer.

>>
i bet the people who are calling out ox as shit are the same people who said ramsey was shit the season before he was GOAT and also said coquelin was done too
>>
>>64951348
Wenger doesn't drop players that are playing well unless they get injured. He gave Chamberlain a chance to get back into the team/gain minutes against Bournemouth and Sunderland and he was shit.

Welbeck will be given a chance to get back into the team as well, in cup games/shit opponents. But he isn't good enough to get back into the starting XI over Campbell.
>>
>>64951505

wenger clearly doesnt rate campbell though, he's only put him in as he was forced to, the when welbeck is back and match fit its only a matter of time til campbell is dropped, never to be seen again and sold in the summer
>>
>>64951469
Ox has been given loads of chances and has around 100 appearances for Arsenal. Other than a few games last season and this preseason when has he shown to be quality? Coq came back from loan and showed his talent. Ramsey is back in form now and had his GOAT form of spell in 2013/14. Joel has been given his chance now and has shown why he belongs in the first team. During this time Ox has hardly been an attacking threat and has recently hurt the team more by playing. He had the potential to be a good player but needs to get over this mental block he has
>>
>>64951619
Been saying this since a couple of seasons ago, Ox needs a loan somewhere else where he can play every game but his injuries and Arsenal's constant injury crisis itself prevented him from getting any form of consistency. With Welbz, Alexis, Walcott and Campell all being better wingers than him (and don't get me started on Ox being a midfielder) and a few other possible signings coming in the summer there is no room for him. He is still young enough, ship him out on loan, there are plenty of other premiership clubs who would gladly take him.
>>
>>64951619

ox showed early flashes when he was younger, much long ramsey, has had long spells injured, much like ramsey did and has looked utter shit now he's back and not injured, much like ramsey did the season before his GOAT season

and tons of arsenal fans were slagging him off constantly in that season, it was approaching eboue levels

people had written coquelin off, and had written campbell off too, what youre saying backs me up in not writing ox off desu
>>
>>64951469
Ox was good last season. Shit now unfortunately
>>
>>64951205
you disapproval only strengthens my claim
>>
>>64951804
I see what you're saying, but Ramsey and Ox's injury problems were completely different.

Rambo got his leg absolutely destroyed in a disgusting challenge. Ox had just had a ton of little niggles.

Also, even if Ox has the potential to be a fantastic player, we can't afford to play him regularly when he constantly fucks up. Every time he plays he does the same fucking thing. Gets the ball, goes on a run down the wing, starts to cut in a bit, does a cheeky skill, gets tackled, and then stands in no-man's land while the opposition counter.

In a season like this one, we can't afford to have players like him. He's had his chance and he hasn't taken it. Joel got his chance and took it.
>>
Ronnie did it lads
Arsenal's fate is tied to his now
>>

>>

then,

if losing or tied, alexis for ox

>>
>>64953972

He's just a natural out and out goalscorer. That's the type of player he is and that's the type of player he's always been.

Afobe literally isn't good enough for Arsenal. Yes, Arsenal should sign an out-and-out goalscorer/poacher, but the thing about major EPL teams, is outside the guys like RM and Barca, having a all-rounder and heavy attack minded wingers is more important.

There is nobody better available. We'll see what happens in Summer.
