2006 had no clear winner. It was a pretty even playing field. England had their "golden" team. Germany had a solid team plus host advantage, Argentina had a great team built around Riquelme with a great coach, Brazil had just won copa america and confed cup and were p decent. Italy had a p good team as did France with Zidane retiring. How could u not love this WC
