we'll see about that in a few years
Well it's true. The H2H is only lopsided because they played on clay way more than other surfaces.
This is because Federer was good enough to reach clay finals, while Nadal was not good enough to reach a lot of non-clay finals.
t. strong feminist womyn
But really women's sports don't count, even though I love Graf and she's my favorite female player of all time. Dem fucking legs. Hnnnng
Very hot arguments defending Djokovic right there.
You mean just 2004? That wasn't even his best year. At least Federer had Nadal (the best clay player of all time, 5 years younger than him) to give him competition, Djokovic's main rival last year was a 34 year old man way past his prime.
Roddick, Hewitt, Blake, Nalbandian, Agassi, all those guys would be a huge improvement over the current crap. Roddick would be winning Wimbledons right now over Djokovic if he was in his prime.
Djokovic's biggest competition is a 34 year old, heavily declined Olderer who is a shadow of his former self. Just think about that.
On doubles we have Cabal and Farah, they're decent; one of them reached the final at RG a few years back, but I forget which one. On singles we have some chokers called Giraldo and Falla, Falla had 3 match points on Federer on the first or second round of Wimbledon and wasted them, on TWO different occasions. I really hope we get some actual talent in the near future, but I don't think we will.
Yeah but it's still nice on Youtube. Even though I liked Roddick. I feel bad for him, his entire career was cucked by Federer.
Agassi wasn't washed up. He was playing the bets tennis of his career, minus 1995. He didn't have much mileage on his body because of his meth breaks.
You would know this if you actually watched tennis in the 1990s and 2000s.
Nah. US tennis was just divergent from court conditions. US tennis followed the Sampras formula (big serve + big FH) while courts slowed down and increased bounce. This screwed US tennis hardcore.
Now, the courts are still slow and high bouncing garbage but US players are about to catch up. Taylor Fritz is going to be top 10, and you have guys like Tiafoe and Kozlov too.
Court homogenization is really killing tennis overall, not to mention making it a Euro-only winning sport (which is dumb because the US is where the money is). US players come up on fast hardcourt; Yuros come up on clay. Modern hardcourts on the ATP play closer to clay than anything else, and fast tournaments are all but dead.
Basically, US tennis got screwed for a decade due to court changes but in 2-4 years it will be dominant again.
t. real tennis player
If Djokovic gets 17+ slams, tennis is dead. No one wants to watch that retarded robot play "tennis."
>hating on the true goat and his future achievements
>being this delusional
Also Olympic gold is worth like 4 grand slams matey's
Federer dicksucks can commit sepoku now
>he doesn't rate the future GOAT Paire
