ST. LOUIS BTFO
>Rams move to LA
>MAYN FUCK DA NFL CUH
What did he mean by this?
>mfw I just realized aside from Foles and Bradford I can't name a single Ram since those days
Usually I could fall back on some fantasy guy I had once but TAVON AUSTIN
okay im at 3 out of like 800
as an orange county resident i thought i'd do some research on the roster to determine my new favorite player:
>mfw long and quinn, the 2 highest paid on the team suck
>mfw foles gets $8 million a year and he sucks
>mfw foles had rank 33 passer rating this year
>mfw there's only 32 teams which means someone's backup did better than foles
>britt, nothing fancy
>tavon austin, nothing fancy
>mfw the face of the franchise is rookie gurley.
10% black is all you need to turn your city into a crime-ridden shithole
"very black" means an average birthrate of 7 children per woman, of which 6 die before they hit 10 years old
You know Saint Louis will probably never get a new team now. They spent all that money back in '92 to build that fucking eyesore just to have the team they rolled out the red carpet for fuck them in the ass. What politician in their right mind is going to try to shake loose a half a billion dollars or so to build ANOTHER giant eyesore?
Jesus Christ, I just looked it up. That place isn't even 25 years old from the time they broke ground.
Well M&T will be 20 years old in 2019. Time to tear that old drafty, rusting, shit-hole down and build a NEW stadium or the ravens might have to move to Vegas or something and keep the name.
Kroenke didn't want to be here. After the shit he said, nobody really wanted him here. It all worked out. Now we have a large vacant stadium, I already smell a weekly monster truck rally schedule in the works.
Vegas is a notoriously bad sports town.
the locals are nearly all either minimum wage casino workers, or millionaires that have a home there for vacation use.
the middle-to-high class you need to buy season tickets is nearly non-existent
as a Seattle resident who recently lost the Sonics, I just feel bad for Ramsfags. it's bad enough you live there, but you also lose your team.
I don't feel super-bad about it though, as that team had left another city to go there. sorry Ramsfags, your team has a history of cuckolding cities, if you didn't see this happeing then you haven't been paying attention.
if it's of consolation, in 20 years they'll be the Toronto Rams, so you can laugh at LA, even though they still won't care
Not winning shit for the last 13 years in a decrepit stadium and at the end having some dude who doesn't give a fuck about the city take the team and move it for LA shekels might have something to do with it
Foles is young, and Jeff Fisher QB's never perform really well, he's a ball-control guy.
Foles might still get better, Gurley looks pretty great, and the Hawks/Cards can't be this good forever, the league is cyclical
I'd rather have the potential of the Rams over the perpetually underwhelming Chorgers.
the Raiders are the team with the most future potential, but they will fuck it up eventually, they are the Raiders
>in a decrepit stadium
Is it really that bad or are they just using that as an excuse because they want that West Coast money? It can't be that bad, can it? Didn't they even attempt to keep it in good shape?
Sorry pal but Pete Carrol runs that team like a college, 3-4 years of prime play then you're out the door before you get hurt or nig out and get arrested, unless you're a Russel Wilson Remember when everyone said their run was done earlier this year? Yeah it's gonna be like that for a minute, rams are still shit
it's not decrepit, but it was built before this new wave of having it be a sort of amusement park with shit to do around it and open sightlines type of stadium.
in NFL terms, it is outdated, it is still a perfectly usable building.
I just don't see how this "buy us a new building every 20 years or we leave" mindset is sustainable.
at least now with LA taken, it's taking away a threat. I can't think of another big city in an important state w/o a team that can be used as leverage now. Portland, OR maybe?
>The Lions want to move
>Nobody wants the Lions in their city
sorry bro, 253 here, Hawks fan, but it doesn't last forever in the salary cap era.
the Hawks have maintained because they have recently nailed almost every draft pick to use as subs fr those who leave, that isn't sustainable, not long-term.
>tfw live in Deep South
>literally nothing but hood nigs and fat rednecks even in the big cities
2 semesters left then I'm out. Is it better up north/out west? I can't deal with the degenerate bullshit here. Might have a chance to move to San Diego after I get my degree.
I think it would be to far west. Any team from the east coast would be monumentally fucked over with the time change and they would get fucked over any time they have to travel to the east coast
JUSTICE FOR MIKE BROWN IS JUSTICE FOR US ALL!
WHICH SIDE ARE YOU ON FRIEND WHICH SIDE ARE YOU!
Foles being young isn't a excuse he is horrible
Raiders being bad because lol they're raiders isn't a excuse neither
The GM had to work around a dead money situation for 2 years and finally thanks to draft picks and smart money are finally looking like the team to watch out for .
I love football but I never grew up as a raider or ram fan but anybody can see the raiders are clearly on the upside while chargers and rams aren't
>Foles being young isn't a excuse he is horrible
ehhh, Idk about that.
he's not going to magically become Joe Montana, but I can see him being a perfectly cromulent game manager, never forget Trent Dilfer has a ring.
He had a great 1st year under the offensive-minded Chip Kelly, then has had a bad year on a talent-deprived Rams team lead by a running/ball-control Jeff Fisher coach. he could become better than he currently is.
>How can teams just relocate? This is so bizarre. Also whats the point?
It's all about making more revenue. LA is a bigger market than St Louis, more media and a larger fan base. Also, the Rams are originally from LA so they already have fans from the old days.
Game managers is not a big thing in this league
Game managers rarely win you games nowadays, you got to take risk .
I can name many more QBs that took risk in passes and running out the pocket to pick up a first down , the league is ever changing and it is no longer a dink n dunk league , it definitely a passing league . Foles doesn't have the proper speed to throw long or even medium passes and working on it can take years plus his team is offensively in shambles
And Trent won a ring because they focused on getting players good enough for short run/pass plays but completely stacked the defense and it paid off hugely
Nah, LA is considered a "big market" city. There may be some people who are loyal to other franchises but they're the minority. There's a lot of potential in the unaffiliated fans.
It's the reason why they have franchises in every other major American sporting league, they even having two in Basketball.
It's pretty similar to the situation regarding the Chicago White Sox. US Cellular is by no means a complete shit hole, but the building certainly lacks the bells and whistles of a contemporary stadium.
The system is just really rigged very much in favor of the league making money and that's how its always been. In order to save face, they usually make it up to these markets and give them a team again, but I don't really see it happening for St Louis, San Diego or Oakland when its all said and done.
US sports teams aren't like European sports teams in that whereas the latter are deeply rooted in their home area and are tied to the local identity, US teams just up and leave if someone looks at them funny
are there actually Rams in Los Angeles? Why did they name their team that?
>Rams moving into my city and right next to where I work.
t-thanks St. Louis I finally have a team to support.
Inglewood is a pretty shit place I wonder how it's going to work with a stadium here now.
>tfw your team doesn't move just so they can choke in front of thousands of fans that paid hundreds of dollars for tickets
>perfectly cromulent game manager
>Game managers is not a big thing in this league
it's not ideal, but bro, there are a good 10 or so "game manager" QB's making 5-8 million per year in the league. you obviously want an elite QB, but a game manager is preferable to a shitty QB.
I'm not saying Foles is the next big thing, but Idk if it's time to say he's shit and irredeemable
Only Todd and Donald are good
If I'm a bandwagonning cunt the raiders would be the best team to move followed by Rams then lastly chargers
As of right now I don't expect success for the Rams within 8 years tops
Not with management like that
History likes to repeat itself. If an expansion isn't rewarded, STL will take another team who are suffering the same lack of fan attendance the early 90's Rams and early 2010's.
Seriously, give it a decade or two. People will remember that STL likes football and fall for the same trap again.
ST KEKIS ON SUICIDE WATCH
ENJOY EATING CUBS DICK FOR THE NEXT 6 YEARS TOO
Your city just paid millions to support some rich guy's business operation who would leave you if Minny wasn't so gullible. You're like the guy who uses most of his salary to support a money hungry stripper because he loves her.
>Alec ogletree @B_easy_uga9
>Some of you kill me with your tweets. If you love the rams then it shouldn't matter where we play we are still #RAMILY here or there!!
If you told a Wimbledon fan in 2002 that he should just go on and support MK Dons, you'd get your jaw broken.
Quinn maybe but come on
The team is not good at all
I agree with everyone else I believe if the NFL wanted a winning team to spark the LA football fans they would have sent the raiders , they have money and will almost certainly be actual contenders next year .
This Rams team is a joke and LA is going to treat them like clippers before they got good
>tfw the only team that could leave the state is the team that no one gives a shit about (T-Wolves)
To be fair, all of Minnesota's other teams have filed for relocation at one point. Twins to North Carolina, T-Wolves to New Orleans (4 years after they built Target Center!), North Stars to Dallas
"As you can see here the little bugga has already laid out two beautiful traps out for the unknowing, letma tell ya mate it's really amazing that despite failing on the first one he still continues , it just goes to show you that these buggars are not to play with and are very serious "
>there will be a Honolulu royal Hawaiians
>the current heir to the throne would be a co-owner
>big ass Polynesians across the pacific yearning to earn glory for their race and king
>kamahaha is the mascot
Feels bad man
Vegas here it's the sportsbooks the NFL hates with a passion even tho they're in bed with daily fantasy.
we have the affluent middle class to prop up a team, but the city would rather put any team we get downtown on the strip and comp the tickets to hotel patrons, again a practice the NFL hates since they share revenue.
It's because there is a set limit to how many teams can exist. There's now way for a team to rise up from below to fill the market void like there is in systems with promotion/relegation. The only way a city can get a team is by expansion or relocation, and the NFL right now loves it's current setup and does not want to expand.
