Players leaving is normal, happens in the top European leagues and no one is making a big deal about it. Gil and Gonzalez had mediocre seasons and now that they left, everyone is reacting as if the two best players in MLS history just left to Liga MX. Eliminating the salary cap wont solve anything because most Liga MX teams can still outspend MLS teams and have the ability to offer money to players.
