>LAG:Gerrard says he's "probably" retiring after 2016 season
MTL:Syrian refugees given personalized Impact jerseys Kek
>SEA:Morris finally ready for Sounders
>LAFC:Will unveil their meme logo sometime this week reddit will love it 4chan will not
>NYCFC:muh big club not signing anyone yet
POR:Possible expansion of stadium?
>VAN:Caps complete transfer for Techara
NYRB:Dax McCarty signs new 4 year deal
>CLB:Trapp and Finlay earn USMNT call ups
1st for God Garber the Soccer Don
Lower League Shills BTFO EuroKuKs BTFO
>Klinsmann finally calling up MLS players
Based Garber was right, again!
I was wondering this. If the Raiders and Chargers move to LA wouldn't that help Carson because the are will be getting more and more developed. AKA Carson will no longer be a shithole. Hell i'm sure the Galaxy could host Real Madrid Barcelona and the Millenials at the new Carson stadium
Carson isn't that bad but it's going to get worse with these teams coming.
>mfw traffic those 16 weeks during the NFL season
>I just noticed the AUFC + >Soon in the corner
d'aww. I'm honored desu.
>Soon: Exterior windows edition
holy shit senpai. This is finally going to start looking sleek instead of just a big concrete thing.
Don't forget about this alpha
>The NFL doesn't want a team making millions per game in maybe the second best media city in the US.
Besides that Kroenke is personally funding the stadium in Carson. Writing's been on the wall.
>Infoman, a television show on French CBC in Montreal, recently had its end-of-year review show for 2015, and host Jean-Rene Dufort had a neat moment with Syrian refugee Osama Abdul Mohsen and Mohsen's son, Zaid (starting at the 4:50 mark in the video above).
>Dufort playfully recalled the infamous moment in which Mohsen, who was carrying his son, was tripped by a camerawoman while attempting to flee from authorities at a Hungarian camp. Fortunately, Mohsen saw the lighter side of being an expert in "kicking." Dufort then presented Mohsen -- who also happens to know a thing or two about soccer, as a coach -- with a customized Impact jersey before suprising Zaid with one as well. Zaid was reluctant to accept, though, because he is a big fan of Real Madrid due to his experience accompanying superstar Cristiano Ronaldo to the field for a game.
>Dufort convinced Zaid to take the jersey by telling him that Montreal will sign Ronaldo just like they did Didier Drogba.
So LAFC is announcing their shit on the 7th (seventh)
"LAFC Takes Flight" maybe a hint?
How monumentally bad will this be if they are red and black and have a bird related logo?
Are LAFC the next NYCFC?
>NYCFC linked with Jorge Teixeira and Ronald Matarrieta. A centerback and a young left back from Costa Rica
>NYCFC are also participating in the IMG cup; along with HB Koge, FC Cincinnatti and KR Reykjavik.
>The outcry at the NFL teams filing for a move has put renewed pressure for finding a stadium on Major de Blasio, who recently posted a picture on Twitter with his kid in an NYCFC jersey.
There's your NYC news dump
>Jordan Morris to train with Werder Bremen amid making club decision
Thoughts? Certainly better than selling his career to MLS and never living up to his potential (a la Donovan, Dempsey, Bradley, Mathis)
thankfully he's not choosing some meme premier league team and going somewhere he could succeed.
rather see him in eredivisie or another feeder league for a couple years though tea bee aich
LA doesn't need two soccer teams. We already have the Galaxy... NYCFC is a fucking joke. Why not put a team in a city that doesn't have one and try to expand the base of homegrown players.
Is there any team more cringeworthy than NYCFC... why do they even exist?
Because nobody in NY actually thinks the Red Bulls are "an NY team".
Basically the same reason the Islanders exist minus actually having a pre-existing successful team. But who am I kidding, maybe 3 people ITT actually know about NY Sports.
Born and raised New Yorker here, people do think the Red Bulls are a NY team and its helped by their deal with MSG. NYCFC exists because there is no way the league was gonna say no to those sweet middle eastern dollars and a way to involve a franchise like the Yankees even if they dont actually give a flying fuck
born in the bronx raised in CT and live in the village.
the red bulls represent american soccer before the 2010 world cup. nycfc represents the people who got into soccer after it.
the bottom line is people dont care about either. trying to wedge yourself into the authenticity debate is so stupid and, if i can, typical of the nycfc fanbase.
fat drunk hispanic dads from jersey > white young professional reddit posters but I got season tickets now and dont bother sitting in the south ward.
LA is more spread out than NYC so it does make sense to have a team in Orange County and a team in Los Angeles to completely different cultures seperate by only about 10-15 miles. Its smart for MLS to have another team in LA. I may not like it but I understand it. I hope it helps MLS grow and creates a greater following for soccer in LA.
I miss that brand. Good stuff, never see it anymore.
>MFW when I'm in that stadium, it's like I'm in a house of god. Nothing else matters, not the >no gf, not being a NEET, for those 90 minutes, I'm free from the worries of the world.
boy I hope the kits are good this year. I've been meaning to get another jersey for awhile.
>Tfw the Cosmos are one more USOC failure away from folding
>Tfw once they're gone the whole NASL follows
stay irrelevant, just like your team flyover
>STILL complaining about anime on an anime imageboard
>Be Mexican in America
>On the computer shitposting instead of building the wall.
>On May 2014 Nowak stated "[the Union] has no money"
>this appeared to be justified because as of [May 2014] they had not and could not pay their franchise fee to MLS
This is turning into quite the wild ride.
Jordan Morris turned pro a couple of days ago, is training for Bundesliga side Werder Bremen.
Will choose between them and the Seattle Sounders. Whichever is the best environment for him to get inform for the 2018 World Cup
Not that poster but I imagine Morris is smart enough to realize that going straight to Europe he'll just end up sitting on the bench. There's literally no reason for him to not go to MLS for a couple years at least.
>move to 4-3-3 just because of some 21 yr old kid
You sound like an idiot, you watch too much barca. He has a better chance to play for that German team. Their Left Mid is fucking trash. Plus an American Striker Johannsson is there too
AM I SUPPOSE TO JOIN THIS!?! GALAXY STEP UP YOUR GAME YOUR GONNA LOSE THE INLAND EMPIRE
Is this a stereotype? I never knew people in the 909 were considered inbreds like the South lol I actually think thats hilarious. Sadly i'm an only child though m8
>LA Galxy close to signing Mike Magee
Bruce still doesn't get it.
Arena going after another former player, some things never change
Seattle is a fucking joke. You literally got cucked by your biggest rival for an MLS Cup and your team shares a field with an NFL team.
So how far will the Sounders get before they get kyucked again this year?
yes, actually. All soonposts allowed. build hype for soccer in the US.
>Soon: forgot the >Soon edition, lets try that again.
>Soon: hurry up and build this too edition
thanks for the excuse to post this senpai
Yeah it's like Kappa, Diadora, Hummel, Kelme and Umbro just decided to quit at the same time over 10 years ago.
Canada has Umbro kits tho.
the greatest thing about big stadiums is that they have enough fucking bathrooms, I know half time is the shittiest time to go but I've waited 15-20 minutes in line on average for a non-sellout, that shit is just unacceptable
Water level came all the way up over the top of the fucking bleachers during the worst of it
>the place that got cucked into paying for the WC and the Olympics in a 2 year span to profit american companies is trying to joke about cucking.
Brazil is cuck:the country right now desu.
He's not wasting anything. He's an unproven college kid who scored a meme goal against a mexico bench team in some friendly and scores blooters on the outside of his foot. MLS is the best chance he has of getting minutes.
He's gonna be 21 and he doesn't even have a club picked out yet that's just bad.
Seems like a smart move honestly. Pernetti was a con artist and Glick was CFG babby the President. This guy at leaast knows the politics of the city, which'll help with the stadium
>MTL:Syrian refugees given personalized Impact jerseys.
Cologne, Hamburg, and Stuttgart not doing this, I'm guessing.
Right and Morris hasn't even proven to be a starter in MLS yet, what makes you think he could go to England and magically do better than here? EuroKuK pls, sit down before I go god of /mlels/ on you
I don't think you grasp the argument, for him to develop he needs to play meaningful games, not ride the bench in England, you're arguing over a guaranteed place in a team at home against the opportunity to ride the bench and see meaningless match time in any decent league
Camp Cupcake roster
>Goalkeepers: Bill Hamid (D.C. United), Luis Robles (New York Red Bulls)
>Defenders: Kellyn Acosta (FC Dallas), Matt Besler (Sporting Kansas City), Matt Miazga (New York Red Bulls), Eric Miller (Montreal Impact), Tim Parker (Vancouver Whitecaps), Marc Pelosi (San Jose Earthquakes), Matt Polster (Chicago Fire)
>Midfielders: Fatai Alashe (San Jose Earthquakes), Michael Bradley (Toronto FC), Mix Diskerud (NYC FC), Jermaine Jones (Out of contract), Darlington Nagbe (Portland Timbers), Lee Nguyen (New England Revolution), Tony Tchani (Crew SC), Wil Trapp (Crew SC)
>Forwards: Jozy Altidore (Toronto FC), Jerome Kiesewetter (Stuttgart), Jordan Morris (Unattached), Khiry Shelton (NYC FC), Gyasi Zardes (LA Galaxy), Ethan Finlay (Columbus Crew SC)
>knowing this name and being ok with it
I hope that mini horse haunts them in their dreams
Has Aron Johannsson not recovered from his injury yet? Sorta ruins the Iceland matchup.
At least MLELS-shills will be BTFO if we perform poorly with this team against them or Canada.
its cool to see pelosi get to your national team. had a real shot at making it for liverpool just got too many bad injuries. lot of talent when he was a teenager though so could still become good
>Kwadwo Poku, RJ Allen, and Patrick Mullins will be going to Manchester for 10 days to train with MCFC.
>Thomas MacNamara and Tony Taylor will also go to Manchester, albeit to train with MCFC's EDS
So LAFC is announcing their colors this week. everyone seems to think red and black. I'm hoping their gonna surprise everyone. Pink and black would be the dark horse, it fits though. Red and Blue might be good too, I'm surprised no one has tried to emulate pic related yet
their kit looks like a shitty cycling jersey, who designed this crap
>all these ridiculous MLELS salary rules
Mlels has the most abstractly run league in the world, it's truly marvelous and I think God Garber every day that the lower league shills and EuroKuKs got BTFO
>Jesse Gonzalez had accepted an invitation from Jurgen Klinsmann to join the U.S. national team's January camp after representing Mexico on the youth level.
>But the FC Dallas goalkeeper has pulled a U-turn and backed out of the chance to play for the Americans, opting to join El Tri's U-23 camp instead, sources confirmed to Goal USA on Wednesday.
The NFL isn't going to have one of their teams play in a 20k capacity stadium. It's either the Rose Bowl or the Coliseum that's going to be used by whichever team comes to LA until a new stadium is built.
It's so easy to tell when you westcoastfags decide to flock to your computers, the west coast is fucking tanking this season so get ready for that, by this time next year you kids are gonna be a lot more hesitant to post the bullshit that you are right now, so why don't you all calm the fuck down and let the east show you how its done
Even if you put temporary stands on the grass portion of the stands, I doubt you'll get near 40k. Just easier to pay rent at the other two locations that have over 90k capacity.
>Terminus! Legion! Clap Clap clapclapclap
In honor of the LAFC millenials launching their crest tomorrow you must make a crest in paint in less than 30 seconds
pro/rel isn't happening here for 15 years at the way earliest, plus if they make more meaningful games between the various divisions and leagues and give lower league teams a chance at CCL I don't see the problem with no Pro/Rel
>Chivas USA 2.0
Galaxy 4 lyfe. Or is it going to be an NYCFC type thing where the hipsters and contrarians claim to be lifelong fans for a shitty team that's less than five years old?
There are some people who don't follow the Galaxy because they don't want to drive to Carson to watch games and they feel the Galaxy is a "plastic" team. So it's a similar situation to Red Bulls and NYCFC. But LA is an extremely tough soccer market to break in, where most Mexicans only care about Liga MX and there are plenty of people who only want to bandwagon an EPL team, Real Madrid or Barcelona. LAFC having a stadium in Exposition Park should help gaining fans though.
it's been happening for a while now m8, Minnesota is also happening in case you hadn't heard
>Zusi the RWB and only player in the right side
We need more teams like this
>Other teams get literally the 30 miles around their stadium
>Portland gets 3 States
Maybe the tumblrs should market to more than just trannies instead of complaining about New Mexico's white privilege
I know this is bantz, but that's actually how the field should look like during attacking build-up play in your opponent's half. The idea is to suck their team to one side of the field, then switch it over and exploit the space created. Classic Bielsa-ball.
Formationfags get BTFO when their mental images end up looking much different in-game. For official FIFA matches like the Champions League, they actually publish player field position frequencies as part of their official match reports, so you can see where each player spent the majority of his time on the field.
>Not TOTALLY from NYC because their homegrown claim was totally legit and Darth Garber sides with Nowak one last time.
Who cares that he spent like his whole life in England. This is Murica, those 3 days should count
>Other teams get literally the 30 miles around their stadium
>LA, Dallas, and Red Bulls still have more homegrown players than Portland
Maybe Portland doesn't care
Looks like the American players prefer to finish their 4 years in college. Also, sucks that Danladi is going to Europe, would've like to see him in MLS.
>not finish college, make $60k-80k playing sport til you're 34.
>finish college, weigh option of being in some PR firm or playing sport, most likely working in your team's PR dept after your mediocre career as a 120k salary player ends.
Drake's already got a team tho
Only two GA players get a $100k salary. Last year, only Larin got that salary. And you're forgetting homegrown players that go through college and still manage to get that salary.
Will Ferrel is a part owner of LAFC
>tfw the team does bad and he goes to coach it.
Looks like they're Black-Gold-Red just like AUFC
The guy who designed this logo is apparently NYCFC's old graphic designer who now works for Nike
">We" still need a nickname and there is the Terminus Legion support group. They seem to have lost 85% of their hype. Hopefully the FO doesn't keep loving them the most...but they have done the most so far... so I guess it's fair right now.
No one really loved the name. Only like 1% of people knew the team was named after Willie B, the famous gorilla from Zoo Atlanta. When they first started they used to have tons of Willie B shit like posters and the Willie B Cup with Charleston and Richmond(I think).
>tfw you will never see the Silverbacks at Dekalb Memorial again.
>tfw you will never see the Silverbacks anywhere again
fuck. I always wanted them to become MLS but they are retarded. If they were still in USL they might have agree to being bought and turned into an MLS team but they were owned by NASL and rejected all talks years ago.
i actually like the colours/crest
not boring, but still pretty clean
If/when the NASL folds, I'd love if AUFC could obtain the Silverbacks name and brand their mandatory USL affiliate with that. Double bonus if they could brand their USL's PDL affiliate the Ruckus.
cant see that happening. Firstly, Silverbacks name is owned by some dude who owns the park where the Silverbacks play as well as another indoor facility and he makes good money off of soccer camps and stuff. The main team will die but all that stuff will stay.
Second, AUFC was supposed to have a small 3,000 seat stadium at their own training facility for a USL team/renting out for events. pic related
>mfw Dynamo are gonna let Brad Davis go back close to his home state to play closer to his family and have set a contract to have him play his last game in Orange.
I'm getting Brian Ching feels again. What other teams have done something like this to accommodate for their veteran players.
Wow look at these fans for LAFC. They already got Chivas USA on-board.
DAX signed for 4 years? Why?
He represents everything wrong with the cows... Mediocrity with expectations. He has a 50% chance of passing it to a teammate or the other team every time he gets the ball. Ginger scrub
>The guy who assumed this was the long awaited revival of Chivas USA
>The guy who went to taco bell before the rally
>The spic unsure about coming here today because he just remembered his grandma has a doctors appointment today
>The guy in the back who didnt find the bathroom
>The two normies in the room
>SQF in an alternate timeline where he doesnt support the quakes
>The gauged spic who never went back
>That one die hard fat asian who is all about social media
>Alternate timeline BTR in LA who is gonna take all those dicks
He didn't have a good year. He had one goal and barely any assists.
Granted not much was expected from the team this season but he's not a top tier or even middle tier in MLS.
The fact that people are even suggesting he get a NT call up tells me USA soccer has a long way to go.
The entire RBNY center midfield is lackluster. The wingers are what make the team any way.
The extension was to A) keep veteren leadership on the team and B) keep the fans happy not realizing that their team has failed them for 20 going on 21 years
high end strip club logo
also, it's a nostril doing rails.
good job everyone.
Holy shit someone paste the LAFC crest onto this picture so we can use it for the next thread
no wait, even better
It's official; I've hopped on the LAFC bandwagon. /TORLA/ WE OUTCHEA
Well while we're waiting Fox released their schedule
>4 games on over-the-air television
2 NY derbys, a Sanders-Tumblrs game and a rematch of the GK penalties
>yfw LAFC hooligans vs NYCFC hooligans in the "premier MLS rivalry match"
