I bought my dad tickets to the NYG @ Saints game this year. He doesn't come in town a lot, and has trouble making it up to the upper level of the dome, but GOD DAMN that was an amazing game. Had historic numbers lead changes, everything. Its cool to watch it with him too because he used to play nose tackle and knows alot more about the game than I do.

Wasn't there in person but I don't think we will see one greater than Germany 7, Brazil 1 in our lifetime. 50-60 years of heartache and pain over losing in the final of the last World Cup in their home, Brazil, the greatest team in soccer history, loses in what would equate to a 49-7 loss in American football. Not only were those old wounds and heartbreaks reopened, but salt was poured onto them while simultaneously scraping the wounds with sandpaper.

The story, the history, the drama, and the spectacle of it all makes a very strong case. Maybe not the most nailbiting exciting game, but it's the kind of game and moment you could write entire books about.

I wouldnt say it's even directly relateable to 49-7. That's a bad blowout, but even 4-1 is a bad blowout in soccer because of how difficult it is to score a goal.

It was honestly like a 70-10 loss in american football, and Germany scored 50 points in a quarter.
>>
I was at the Alabama vs Mississippi State game last year, and while not the best/most controversial game ever, it was easily the most hype that stadium has ever been.

You're right, I was being a little modest with the comparison. I just went with the straight Touchdown 7:1 conversion rate.

I was at the UH/Pitt Armed Forces bowl last year. I'm a huge Coogs fan, so this was a massive deal for me. Not a terribly important game, but it meant a lot to me, and a lot of fun. Oh, and coming back from down 25 points in the 4th and winning is pretty nasty, all those recovered onside kicks...

Serious question why the hell does anyone watch, let alone enjoy, college sports over pro ones? Except for the convenience of it happening right at your school?
>>
>>64693197
because you can like both and dont have to pick between the two. The only reason to dislike college sports is because you either went to a college with an irrelevant sports program or you didnt go to college.

>>
>>64693197
I go to both Panthers games and Clemson games, and the best way I can describe it to you is that they just have different feelings to them. NFL games are like one big party where everyone comes and watches these superstars. College games are like this big community throwing a huge event, with music, parades, pageantry, and tons of young people. They're very similar but different, and I think the traditional stuff like marching bands and school spirit (homegrown and not manufactured love for the team) is what really sells stuff for colleges.

College basketball is also a lot more fun to watch in person than professional basketball because the fans are actually involved.

2003 Big 12 Championship

Oklahoma was penned as a "mini NFL team" and got completely cucked by Darren Sproles.

Still brings tears to my eyes watching that faggot Jason White flail around.

Game 4 2005 NLDS. Braves @ Astros.

18 innings. Clutch Grand Slam from Berkman, Ausmus hits a HR to tie the game in the bottom of the 9th, Clemens comes in to pitch in relief, Burke's walkoff in the 18th. All around amazing game

For me it was the 2012 Outback Bowl when UGA lost in triple overtime to Michigan State. I'm a UGA fan but man was that a good game. On a side note I was double ass blasted when Bama skull fucked UGA and MSU this year.

I've got >pic related for biased reasons. It was perfect.

But 18-1, the experience, is probably the greatest superb owl of all time. Was watching in room filled with Pats bandwagoners, and it was hilarious to see them move from "we'll win by 40" to "fuck, Eli is beating us" to "well I'm a Cowboys fan anyway".

The entire play shouldn't have counted, flagrant horse collar holding on Kurt Warner as he was about to push Harrison out of bounds at the Steeler 35, and then a flying block in the back taking out Tim Hightower just as he was about to tackle Harrison at the Cardinal 35.

Calling that play (and game) great is like calling the Tuck Rule play great.

I was going to Rays games with my dad back when they were the Devil Rays and the laughing stock of the league, so for me, nothing compares to Game 162. It was like something out of a fucking movie.

Then they fucking blew it in the playoffs. Oh well.

This was my first real memory of the Browns. My dad was livid, and I truly began to understand what being a browns fan meant.

>equates to a 49-7 loss

Not at all. Keep in mind that a high scoring soccer game usually has 5 total goals. Many end somewhere around 3, which would be like a game with 21 points scored in the NFL. Most NFL games have at least one team with ~24 points alone. 7-1 would be more like 70-7

I remember watching this with my dad when I was 11. It was the first game I ever bet on, and I made $10 off my dad thanks to Vince Young.

Living in Baltimore and experiencing a whole city running through the streets and everybody black and white getting along for a month man there was nothing like that run.

My bad senpai got my seasons mixed up from when the Giants beat the 49ers and 15-1 Packers. He still blew out the Packers in Lambeau in 2012 and the #1 Seed Falcons
