If you see a match from a different league you see a lot of empty stands or grades.
It is because its cheap?
In argentina we pay minimum $50 (5 dolars) to see a match, normally its around 100$ in first division tho
EPL clubs have ridiculously high ticket prices.
The joke is, they don't even need that money, it's fucking peanuts compared to their TV money.

well, they have a high purchasing power, they like divegrass, the stadiums are modern and safe, the country is small and populated so with a very high population density and short travel distances
