I have been a hawks fan since 6th grade when I started watching football seriously. I was living in Florida during Seattle's first Superbowl bowl appearance. I was then in 7th grade during that time and I was literally like the only hawk fan rooting for Seattle in my school. Why do you root for Seattle ? They would ask me that. Why ? Because I was born in Washington and damn proud of it too. I moved back to Washington and just love my states team. And honestly Seattle didn't have such a big fan base back then like they do now. I for one don't care either. Who cares man let then root for whatever team they want.
