The current LMP1s absolutely shit on Group C cars. The Historic Group C pole would have been between the last LMP2 and the ZEOD 24 seconds behind the pole sitting TS040 this year.

That thing should have like a 26.9mm base restrictor if the rules actually included 8L engines, which with the breaks IMSA gives them to deal with GTD cars still works out to around 27.3 at best. They're running TWENTY NINE POINT SIX because they are too fucking lazy to actually develop the engine properly and it makes less power than a destroked small block.

I like like most of the way Japan runs motorsport but it's only slightly above third world countries like Brazil for places I'd prefer a life threatening accident to occur.

The marshals just never seem ready to deal with that sort of thing and between the language barrier and some weird hangups with the local culture and laws everything always seems to go full panic mode.
