If I'm not wrong, they think they have 4WC.
YOU GOT ME WORKING SIDE TO SIDE
Reminder that as of today the Warriors are mathematically eliminated from having a better season this year than they did last year and that Andrew Bogut is canonically a better player than Kevin "Slippy D" Durant.
Do people outside of Fag Francisco actually like the Warriors?
Oh it's another regular season doesn't matter until Warriors lose thread.
i want to follow pro divegrass leagues, do any of you euros have a babby's guide or something?
Not an yuro, but:
>Premier is the most entertaining league
>Liga has the best top teams
>Serie A and Bundesliga are a one-team league
>Ligue 1 is the same as the Premier, but without entertainment
what kind of guide? just like how they work or what team you want to follow?
you're best off following the premier league for starters, it's very accessible in the US I think

wait until the weekend and follow the games here, see if you like it. I'd recommend only following 1-2 leagues at most
watch champions league games later today

Has anyone on this board from the UK or Ireland taken up American Football as an adult or in uni?
I'm thinking about taking it up next season in university but I have a few questions, which hopefully players on this thread can answer.
1) How bad is the concussion head injury problem? Are there strongly enforced rules against leading with the head?
2) How high is the standard? I'm a bit bigger than average (6'1.5") but not very fast or explosive. Would I be of a reasonable level or are most players former rugby players who are very quick and powerful?
3) What's the general rate of injury?
4) Is it generally taken extremely seriously at university level, or is it more casual?
I appreciate that the answers to these questions will vary from team to team, but if anyone could attempt to answer these questions, it would be a big help to me.
what a polite motherfucker
I wasn't a part of my uni club but they practiced around the same time. Any good rugby players played rugby. Even bad players usually would still play rugby on the B team. So yeah, they didn't seem to be the biggest or most athletic team. I got the impression it was more of a hobby than a competitive event for the American football players.

I played defensive tackle in my first year at uni. To answer your questions-
1-Not a problem really, especially if you're only playing for a couple of years. The reason it's a big thing is repeated knocks over the course of a career.
2-some are very athletic, some are not at all. The standard of American football in the UK is incredibly hit-and-miss. I've played rugby for most of my life and was in the top end of strength/speed in my team but there isn't really a set standard.
3-eh, a bit higher than uni rugby but not massively so. You should be fine.
4-Depends who you play for. Some unis have very serious teams (Stirling, Birmingham and Loughborough are the really big ones) but some are more just excuses to get mashed and do a bit of sport

You're in a shoe shop, second in the queue for the till. Behind the shop assistant on the till is a pair of shoes which you have seen and which you must have.
The female shopper in front of you has seen them also and is eyeing them with desire. Both of you have forgotten your purses.
It would be rude to push in front of the first woman if you had no money to pay for the shoes.
The shop assistant remains at the till waiting.
Your friend is trying on another pair of shoes at the back of the shop and sees your dilemma.
She prepares to throw her purse to you.
If she does so, you can catch the purse, then walk round the other shopper and buy the shoes!
At a pinch she could throw the purse ahead of the other shopper and "whilst it is in flight" you could nip around the other shopper, catch the purse and buy the shoes!
BUT, you must always remember that until the purse has "actually been thrown", it would be plain wrong for you to be in front of the other shopper and you would be OFFSIDE!
