No music thread? Let's change that. What have you guys been listening to?
Post a pic if you want, post as many songs as you want, rate songs if you want, assume if you want, etc.
I couldn't choose one so here a few that I've had on loop
Lately I've been searching for new music
All Massive Attack albums and FC/KAHUNA, after that I'll start with whatever I can find
>Yo la Tengo
mu as fuck
really good though
I'm all about Buckethead. He is my biggest inspiration. While I understand that musical taste is very subjective, I feel he produces the best music in my opinion. I give credit where it's due and also appreciate the works of Govan, Gilbert, Vai, Satriani, Petrucci, Lane, etc. Every guitar player worth their salt is great in their own right. Rock on, everybody!!!!
This is some times thinking music right here.
I farted this dank meme out today.
I've been listening to this on repeat for like a week.
Tbhfam I've been on a Linkin Park binge.
"ONE TWO ONE TWO THANK YOU" LMFAO so cringe yet so good
don't h8 m8 it's gr8
hey crustanon. How does one handle so much metal on a daily basis? :l
heyo JP-san. Digging your tapcore. How did the search for TTNG tabs go?
damn dude gloomy af and your pic matches the song. good stuff
this one's pretty upbeat though. cool, kinda reminds me of Hot Water Music
ayyyy my kinda people
wow they sound so tight. How do they sound this good in a damn suburb lot with cars passing by? Ugh that mic must be godly. That bassist kills it. Guess you can't expect much less from Boston.
Damn I need to listen to more Japanese jazz. I've been addicted to Wayne Shorter and it's hard to find more stuff like his, but somehow Japanese stuff carries that sort of sound. Mingus had it too sometimes, like on Track C of Black Saint or Myself When I Am Real. Ugh that song made me cry the first time I listened to it. I think the scales that Mingus uses in the melody of Faubus is a Japanese scale, too. He seems to mix a lot of Latin and is really heavy on the hard bop, though, which seems to drown out that Asian feel. Anyway, reminded me of this:
Man, my old high school recently went on a field trip to NY to see the Mingus Big Band. I was so jelly. I was actually there at the same time, but I was visiting my mom, so I saw my high school band come out of the venue. Kill me anon.
Reminds me of Joni Mitchell's tribute to Mingus, but I kinda hate Patitucci's tone (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEQN_rzQt20).
Thana Alexa's band is superior (although I like Joni's lyrics more).
obsessed with vamp weekend
>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bTbH4BE6Mbk (Don't you judge me)
>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v7LBggDKEtM (It's a pick me up song...not really a song to dance too)
Huh. What kind of subgenre do they fit under? Also, are you a fan of Venetian Snares?
>Don't you judge me
pretty cool actually, but what up with his cape?
that's some INFP shit, but I guess I can get behind the pay-it-forward thing, even though it doesn't always work out.
Currently rawking out 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MrrNtRbN-D0
I feel like you'd like VSnares.

Finally some people who enjoy collapsing new buildings
9/10 board, the noise music circlejerk is real tho
>not bad man
Some are pretentious in the way that they belive in pleb music
Some are pretentious in the way that they believe music that goes too far away from pop isnt music at all and utter trash
But the rest is alr8 and its great to pick up new bands and get into new genres.
Nah m8 I dont care what you listen to, to everything their own :)
I've been through a ton of phases in music but lately I'm not in the mood for discovering anything new, I kind of liked the indie rock music in Life Is Strange but enough to go out and look for music similar =/
I just don't have that desire to hear anything new, I feel like I've heard all the music I'm gonna like, if that makes sense?
i like to relisten to this album on a weekly basis
makes me wanna go beat the shit out of someone
ay we all need a little throwback sometimes
no h8 here
jfc im so fucking sad
you're lucky, hes not coming anywhere near me
im thinking of just saying fuck it and flying to seattle in march to see him for my birthday because i really really want to see him
Honestly I like Lean cuz he's doing something new in the art game. Big homie is killing it, starting this deepinternet movement. That's enough for anyone's respect, son
stay sad anon, keep cryin f a m, bless ya.
I don't really know anything about his tour though, just that hes playing right in my area. Shit's gonna be tight.
> Muh must have
Otherwise this track id pretty good as well.
And in a last measure.
Based Stevie has been posted on the thread, thanks to you.
It's like meta culture really. I respect something new in the art world.
I don't know if i'm that self loathing to buy some Yung Lean line clothing.
Probably Dad-core as fuck.
hope you guys dont mind soundcloud links, pretty sure they embed. its just the superior format
niiice. saving this one
h-hello waifu :$
You should try Sun Devoured Earth, you might like them
Finally, someone else that knows them. I recommend Batushka to you.
Indeed. If I had to list off my top 10 of 2015, it'd be, in no order (missing quite a few, but oh well):
-Mgła - Exercises in Futility
-Batushka - Litourgiya
-Chelsea Wolfe - Abyss
-Herscher - Herscher-Herscher
-Leviathan - Scar Sighted
-Abhorrent - Intransigence
-Midnight Odyssey - Shards of Silver Fade
-Goatsnake - Black Age Blues
-Dan Terminus - The Wrath of Code
-Kamasi Washington - The Epic
I think the first three and Scar Sighted are on my 2015 best list
-Leviathan - Scar Sighted
-Chelsea Wolfe - Abyss
-Misþyrming - Söngvar elds og óreiðu
-Mgła - Exercises in Futility
-Moon - Render of the Veils
-The Body & Krieg
-Predatory Light/Vorde split
-Windhand - Grief's Infernal Flower
-Vanum - Realms of Sacrifice
-Sapthuran - Hildegicel
>The Body & Krieg
Haven't listened to these releases before. Will have to check these out.
I've listened to this a few times and liked it, but not as much as most people. Not too sure why.
You a fan of Chthe'ilist?
The Body and Krieg are two seperate bands, the record is a collaborative effort. Check out both the bands, they're great.
I love Chthe'ilist, but I feel it's another Portal worship band, like Irkallian Oracle. It's not a bad thing though, all three of those bands are great.
Oh, I know they're two separate bands (I believe The Body is doing a collab. with Full of Hell this year). Figured I'd just list the bands that made the albums would be better.
Another Portal worship band????? If Chthe'ilist was a worship band, it'd be of these two bands:
Yeah, they're closer to Demilich than Portal. If I may recommend more to you:
Seems like we run in similar groups as I'm a fan of all three of those bands. lol I doubt it, but you ever go on the death metal forum on SMN?
Word. It's a (in my opinion) small circle of people that post and part of the forum. However, there are quite a few people from notable groups (Chthe'ilist, Abhorrent, Serocs, Aosoth, Mohicans, Unfathomable Ruination, Defeated Sanity, people from labels like Willowtip, even Majewski of Devourment and Chalkie of Psycroptic were on there at one point in time). It's a cool little place to check out.
Spent most of the day listening to his discog
my interest in BB has fallen dramatically after really exploring all his other albums. Even though Atomizer was fuckin goat.
This shit is tight
I haven't really explored much of any of those bands' discographies outside of the most well known albums
Yep. He actually resurfaced recently. He has a gf and claims to be clean
>tfw nobody to listen to irish songs with
My friends suck.
