I can understand that. I get my variety through friendships... generally with males, but I'm starting to form more female friendships which is nice. I'm also trying to focus on things that make me happier and more fulfilled.

I love being outdoors but find that except for walks around the neighborhood, I don't get out much anymore since my daughter was born. That will change, though... I really want her to love nature! We try to get to the Smokies every few years. Have you ever been to Isle Royale? If you ever want to disconnect... that is an awesome place to go for hiking! I'd love to go back.

I'm also big into music. I released an album just before my daughter was born. I haven't had much time to devote to it lately, but I'm trying. It just isn't as much of a priority to me as it used to be.

Cooking is a huge thing to me because I'm really focusing on my health lately. I LOVE to cook... what I hate is menu planning. So I've taken the pressure off of myself by creating a "minimalist menu" that's on rotation (beginning next week!). Then, when time allows, I'll experiment with new recipes.

Speaking of minimalism... I'd say that's a new passion of mine. I'm definitely an aspiring minimalist. My house is small and over the years it has become incredibly cluttered. So I'm really working to declutter and get rid of things that either a) aren't useful or b) don't bring me joy. I just have so much STUFF.

Yeah is healthy to get rid of shit. I move every few years and always make a point to go through my things and weed out the things I don't need, want, or use. It's VERY therapeutic.

I have a rotating menu as well that is about two weeks worth but it is variations on a few different dishes. I find cooking certain things in bulk helps cut down on the day to day i.e. coming a bunch of chicken to be used that night and the following day or two

Lots of veggies, chicken, and rice. Different sauces and sides to change the origin of the dish.

So one night might have lemon chicken with broccoli, next night chicken on top of brown rice with a little bit sauce and side of asparagus, then next night green salad with chicken tomatoes avocado topped with olive oil and lemon juice. You will notice a pattern emerging haha.

I was going to ask if you if you'd ever been out of the country. I haven't. I'd love to visit England and Ireland. I've wanted to go ever since my grandma went there 20+ years ago. When she passed away, she left her kids some money... and my mom gave me a bit of that so I decided to honor my grandma's memory by putting it toward that trip. I'd love to visit the same places she did when she was there for genealogy stuff. Just to be able to walk in her footsteps abroad would be really neat, I think.
