I'd rather borrow to pay for something than pay to borrow something, anon.

29/f here, turning 30 this year! i don't visit soc often, but every once in a while it's fun.
the hostility coming from people doubting your experiences is ridiculous though. yeah, not all of us are miserable lonely teens looking for social acceptance and a free lunch.

>tfw still pays to borrow stuff
i guess i should buy a house to let other people pay to borrow it
>>23198474
That was pretty much the plan, but after nearly ten years of house-sharing, I'm kind of enjoying living by myself for a bit.
And yeah, I know what you mean. There's a huge stigma attached to age because so many anons are legit high school kids who have literally no idea how life works.
When's your 30th anon? That was about the time I really started feeling like a goddamn adult. Part of the reason why I started to sort out my shit so I could buy my digs.

my trouble is i travel too much, i don't want to be responsible for a piece of property i'm never around- probably not a financially wise move.
my birthday is in the fall, so i have some time! what was it about the 30th which stuck you as "adult"? I feel like a kid still, except now there are fewer inhibitions against my appetites.
how often do you find interesting anons to talk to on here? i always find myself disconnecting from people rather quickly. is it age or is it just me?

36/m here. Have you considered a condo? It's a good way to enter the market, allows you to build equity, and has less maintenance than a single family home. I just purchased my first home, a single family one, and I've focus on nothing else in the last 3 months. I don't regret it, but it's been stressful and expensive.
20/m here. I still forget I'm not in the teens anymore sometimes, haha. Seems like just yesterday I turned 18.
45 m here
