Genuine question-
Is Tinder viable for finding local friends and not just hooking up? I have a girlfriend and don't want sex/flirtation/etc. but I'm basically a NEET without any of my own friends who is trying to branch out into being a normie.
I don't drink and hate most of the local music scene, so bar/shows aren't really an option for me here.
If Tinder isn't an option, does anyone have any other suggestions? I used to use OKC and the like for dating but stopped getting messages the second I got into a relationship and put that I was only interested in buddies.

That's pretty much what I figured.
I have a job lined up, but it has next to no social interaction involved- As for school, I'm looking at going back later this year to finish my degree.
I used to live in a bigger city and had plenty of friends through just talking to random people- but that doesn't work here.

Physical clubs that meet and shit don't really exist around here for the things I'm interested in- (Art, vidya, reading, etc.) I was part of a D&D group for a while but it pretty much disbanded and everyone lost contact because the DM was a dick -and the scene for things like that here pretty much doesn't exist anyway.

Actually do have a DA. I message a few people back and forth, but it's mostly dead these days from what I can tell; unless you're into some specific fandom/a brony/furry.
Meeting people online/being friendly with strangers is usually my forte, but I'm living in the south right now so there's not a lot of that going around- with the exception of dating and shit.

Also, thanks for the sincere suggestion- I'm not trying to blow off peoples ideas- meeting people just generally sucks here unless you're into the nightlife scene or gay from what I can tell.

How about Reddit? There are a lot of art-related subreddits that are pretty active, so you could probably meet a lot of people on there. Also, there are a lot of local subreddits on Reddit, and they regularly arrange meet-ups and stuff like that.

No trust me I know what you mean. Nowadays it's really hard to meet people unless you're in school or college, and even then it's kind of difficult.
