gotta agree with you on... literally everything. sorry i don't have too much to add other than that i met my boyfriend on /soc/
we're moving in together in a month, been together for 5 :^)

What I like:

Pretty girls
Assumption threads
Compliment threads
Sort of brothery / classroom feeling
Some genuinely cool people
Racially diversity and little to no predjudige

Don't like:

Dick threads
Overall faggotry
Insecurity with pretty people
I am kind of freaked out by transgendered people and stuff but this is 4chan I know what to expect so don't mind me

When new thread ideas that differ from the norm come up, people post in them but don't contribute to anyone else in the thread so the good idea is wasted

eg. the grid threads. Many people make them to only post them but not give feedback on others. What's the point in that?

When people bitch about other posted being in certain threads all the time etc. when they have been on here enough to know that

It's almost surprising how many people come here with poor self-esteem (deserved or not) and wind up with a string of comments either generally trying to cheer them up or offer improvements to make up their self-esteem.

/soc is probably the friendliest board on 4chan. I almost feel safe here, which is weird for 4chan. Granted, there is a lot of the same ol' shit over and over again like rate, dick, and assume threads, and we have our fair share of girls and boys who weren't hugged enough as a child, but it's still fun to see what others think of your appearance.

Things I dislike:
Too many dicks: I'm a straight lady; I love the cock. But I don't really want to see every cock ever. The things I love and hate are actually sort of all bound up together.

I love that there's all sorts of exhibitionism going on on this board and shit. But at the same time, I kind of feel like this has a negative impact on how many people you can meet here, and the type of people you can meet here. You have a community on the site that's labeled as the asshole of the internet,full of psychos,autists, and basement dwellers(yeah /b/ gets most of the rep but you know what I'm talking about) that's designed as an totally anonymous community, and you have an board where on that same fucking site, you have anonymous people constantly being fucking nice to each other (which is really absurd given that it's all anonymous)

-Nudes. It's one of the primary reasons I come here.
-Ask threads. I kind of haunt around the various non-monogamy and opposite gender ask threads, because I end up nerding out in life way too much over such things. However honestly on /soc/ they tend to just irritate me and I want to apply corrective percussion to a lot of folk; it's that whole "everyone's fucking autists" business that proves annoying ... And the 'edgy' kids trying to bait, but forget that they are on 4chan and they are using weak ass bait.

Don't like:
-I don't care about dick threads, I don't go into them - but people seem to post a dick in ANY thread. That's bloody daft. There's always a surplus of threads specifically for that.
-Most of the contact fagging. I appear to be one of the few people that never, ever, EVER wants to be 'known'. I'll talk to people *on* /soc/, but I don't want to be contacted by anyone outside of it. Ever.
-Most of the rate threads. I just avoid them ,but they annoy me. Probably just the fact I dislike the idea of breaking people down to numerical values.
