Rate and assume based on voice and subject of interest.
Keep your recordings short. No longer than 30 sec.
I'm interested in astronomy and science in general so:
Oh god I think I have the worst voice in the world. I don't think it's just in my head like most people when hearing themselves. I've been told I have an annoying voice. Will try to sum up the courage to do this later.
I fucking did it! Maybe I should've proofread what I was reading first but I rather it sound more natural than like a recital. I can't record it accurately anyway because I have a phobia talking into mics and phones. To be honest it came out much better than I expected, my voice is a lot more nasally and annoying over low bitrate phone lines and online mic chats.
You have an awesome voice. Deep with an exotic accent. Easy to listen to and understand. Only thing I can say is it sounds like you might be trying to unnecessarily talk lower than is natural?
Annoying. Sounds too cartoony and fake, and like you're afraid of someone hearing you, I can relate. Also sounds like you're soft and easily offeded, I sorta get that "on thin ice" feeling; better watch how I act around you so as not to upset you.
Be brutally honest. Nothing can be said to make my opinion of my voice any worse than it already is.
Forgot to rate subjects of interest. Black holes gotta be 9/10, doesn't get any cooler than black holes.
Meh, 6/10. Nothing good comes from occupying yourself with these sorts of things imo.
My voice is bloody well shocking......well im a Qualified Sheet Metal Fabricator or what we call here in Australia a Sheety and I based mine on my interest in welding Specifically TIG Welding......
Talking about toxicology
Let's never attempt German again
What did you say at the beginning? Something about lizards?
Your voice isn't bad by the way.
By did animation do you mean you did it for this thread or you have done it previously?
topic - 6/10, did you purposely change the way you speak when you read stuff out?
I love you
The background noise kind of fits to make this sound very intense
Why do you have an interest in that?
It was good at the start, but got pretty gay when you started reading.
Sick voice. I don't even like star wars but you made it interesting. Would listen to more sith stories from you.
Great, a little a raspy
Sounds normal and good, a little boring.
>What did you say at the beginning? Something about lizards?
Lol yes lizards are cool but I was just reading whatever. Here's a rare Cuban knight I spotted 20 ft up in a tree. It's the most powerful anole (a genus of lizards related to iguanas).
Your voice is very pleasant and soothing by the way.
Mechanical engineering... Sounds boring on Wikipedia.
The German bit made me smile; 9/10
Peculiar interest - nice voice though.
Voice fit for an American documentary.
Vocally I find your voice appealing, unfortunately you spoke a little too fast for me to fully understand what you were saying.
A little shaky and squeeky, in person I would probably have a hard time talking to you for long. For the Subject matter though it was a really an augmentation and improved it overall.
I was so focused on the idiosyncrasies of your speech that I forgot to pay attention to the actual words you were saying... twice. I can sense the lack of confidence in your voice as well.
Voice is clear, energetic and engaging. Only real complaint is you were a little too animated (heh)
A little too low for me personally to enjoy. I also felt like you tried to read everything on one breath.
Cute voice and easy to understand. Wish you choose a section with more english though so i could get a greater grasp on how you sound.
Clear and articulate. Microphone kinda mutes you though. Overall I just wish you had read more.
Starting out i was sure you had a very poor voice, only 5 seconds in you perked up and became much easier to understand and your voice was quite good.
You are easy to understand which for me is the most important. But personally accents the clip the "G"s off of words make me twitch. Also a little monotone.
Easy to understand and engaging but you sound like a teenager being forced to give an oral report.
Here you go
Also thank you
If you think it sounds boring then make another one with some more spice into it.
I also have no idea if I was pronouncing that stuff right. ur welcum 4 da smile
It's fine anon
That's what I like about them. Here's an aptly named bark anole.
Cool, I thought it was the same thing.
What you read was funny juxtaposed with your voice, it was unexpected. Good voice.
Good, normal voice. Easy to listen to, not annoying, sounds friendly.
Voice is fine but you were droning as you tried to get it all out on one breath
Good, bit harsh but it could be the mic.
It's obvious, but it's good, doesn't get in the way of what you're saying.
Thank you I feel exactly the same way listening to it. It's painful, and it's much worse over a phoneline. It's so tonguey right? How do I correct it? I do have a huge tongue. I don't have the confidence issue in person at least.
Normal as fuck, the kind of guy that goes to the bar for a couple beers with his girlfriend.
Are you a hypochondriac as well? The kind of person who hangs dowlies on their windows.
I want you to narrate sex, start dubbing into videos and uploading to Pornhub homie.
It's called sudoku baka gaijin.
Calm down Satan, your punctuation is fine.
I'm always self-conscious about coming off as sophomoric when I'm reading stuff. will practice more I guess...
nåja, helt rätt har du inte. nice knowing it's not too overtly swedish tho ༼つ ◕_◕ ༽つ
always nice to know it "works" at least, thanks
Funny enough my wrist is still stitched up from Christmas, give me a week or two and I'll get a tanto for ya. Only if it's full tang, though.
People might actually do really well to have CD's that come with instructions like this.
Along with your previous post, your accent flows nicely with your inclination. You're a vocally gifted person.
You sound like the kind of guy they use for meditative videos and National Geographic documentaries on baby birds.
How's the Mighty Boosh going yet? All in all a well-tempered tone and great natural use of your lower ranges.
Brilliant. What accent is that? I also missed your post as you responded a second before I did. Shite timing
Thank you btw
I wish I could understand the majority of this
I find your voice very warm, inviting and alluring. Only complaint, if i must, is that it can get a little whistley on the long "S"s but I suspect that has a lot to do with you mic.
The only thing I can think of to work through the toungue-ness would be linguistic exercises, I was qutie the mush mouth as a child until I was forced into speech therapy.
Nowadays you can find a lot of these exercises online for free. Its very tedious work but if it matters to you then the payout can be massive.
OK here is poetry
Apparently I can't pronounce "s" after a long period of time as my mouth just wants to build up with saliva then make me sound like I have a lisp.
I noticed the s thing in the one I just done. I sound like a retard
I like it
Cool voice! Where are you from?
Hnnng. The housing crisis has never sounded so calming and subdued. Can you please just read to me before bed at night? That was sexy.
Super nerdy and I love it.
I lol'ed. You could be the voice of cartoon characters. I could totally see you doing SpongeBob cartoon.
Funny because I actually got dumped recently but a girlfriend that I would have done that with sometime in the future.
Dunno, probably to sound like some shitty informercial or educational CD.
Here's some more recordings.

I think the tongueyness is only audible over mics anyway. My phone has 2 mics so I changed it to only use 1 on these recordings, and now it's not as noticeable. I think it's my actual voice that's annoying. Can practice really help? My brother has more or less the same voice but he learned to sing, and people call his voice annoying too.
I really dont find either of those annoying at all, sound like a normal bloke. maybe even slightly above average.
basically it sounds like you were just much more deliberate with your speech in these ones. Which makes me think that some Speech therapy exercise could really work wonders for you.
But its tough for me to say what will work for you. I know lots of people who have gone from garbled noise to beautiful articulation
>I really dont find either of those annoying at all, sound like a normal bloke. maybe even slightly above average.
Thanks, must not be my actual voice then. That gives me some hope
>basically it sounds like you were just much more deliberate with your speech in these ones.
Yeah I was trying to sound more like I usually do, but I was reading and not talking so I was saying it the way I read it. I was much more nervous before, recording for 4chan for the first time. Like I said I have a phobia talking into mics and on the phone so I try to be natural while recording it but it's never the same. I'd have to start recording before a conversation and forget that I'm recording.
>Which makes me think that some Speech therapy exercise could really work wonders for you.
I'll look it up then, should help with the anxiety too. Talking on the phone makes my voice sound more monotone and nasally I think because of the low sound quality, but getting nervous definitely makes it worse.
There's something really peaceful about your voice. It's like, a strange quality though. Not the sort of voice that you'd want to have read you a bedtime story, but the sort of voice that would be telling you some bad new lightly, like "by the way, you only have 5 months to live" or "your cat is cheating on you with the next door neighbors". I don't know. I like the space station too.
I want you to act in my shitty European hamlet re-enaction. Maybe we can have it in space? I don't know. At the very least, if my answering machine was your voice, my life would be enriched.
I was so captivated by your reading I deleted it to avoid sinking into an endless abyss, with only your voice, the charmed quarks, and me.
Just kidding. But you do have a nice voice. Might want to reupload without the delete link tho.
I think, although I greatly appreciated your subject matter, you were a teensy bit too loud. Maybe quiet down for next time?
But no. You're a gentle forest spirit, floating though the thread. Thank you for sharing.
I'll go to space with you anon. Aerospace is my major
I actually have a thick Boston accent when speaking, so this is always a fun exercise for me.
"The Jabberwocky". Not what OP asked for, but fuck it. (part 1)
