There's a post preview in the reply box. I don't see why you would practice learning LaTeX on something that doesn't function correctly rather than a full LaTeX distribution.

I'm not sure what you're trying to do, but your \left and \right tags are missing arguments.

Maybe the post preview is a javascript extension. I've been using 4chanX for so long I can't remember what standard 4chan does.

When you open up a reply window, there's an icon in the top left corner that says TEX. Click on that and you get the preview window.

Only thing I need to try:
