Why is it food cost nearly twice as much now as it did a decade ago but we're producing twice as much food? This isn't how supply and demand works. GMO promised us cheaper food but is it making food more expensive?
Wait for the inevitable 21st century oil shock in the other direction, as in over $200 a barrel or something. We eat oil today, bad planning. All it takes is a few Allah Ackbars over there in the ME, a Russian bear gone berserk, a rogue China...the possibilities are endless.
