It is not difficult at all to acquire these things through the web. Give it a shot if it's something you feel interested in. What do you have to lose? It's pretty much one of the safest substances to take as long as you mind the dose and are mentally stable enough to handle the trip.

I think the best way to exercise the brain for a bigger IQ is develop more patience.

Each IQ test I've ever did, I kept getting bored and just skipping the less obvious questions with a "best guess" because I got impatient trying to sit there trying to figure it out, with 20 minutes time leftover at the end of the quiz that I could have used.

LSD and psilocybin mushrooms are both psychedelic tryptamines (which means they are potent agonists at serotonin 2A receptors), so they have a similar trip but also have distinct differences. I always preferred mushrooms, they feel a little more natural and "earthy" to me and a good amount of length. I believe you'd be fine with mushrooms but you should definitely check about LSD. There are plenty of people who have posted reports about being on SSRIs and taking various psychedelics.

Just don't take any MDMA/ecstasty unless you wanna literally die.

Yes, there's plenty of solid reasoning behind not tripping while depressed, because tripping extensively potentiates your general thoughts/emotions, meaning that if they are largely negative you will only feel that negativity magnified to a significant degree. Some people have taken psychedelics while depressed and it has helped enlighten them of their predicament and come out refreshed and better off, while others have plunged further into a bottomless chasm of suicidal despair. So it's a dangerous gamble. Just read some trip reports on erowid of bad trips and see what I'm talking about

Sorry, forgot to answer about the dosage. LSD dosage is difficult to discern because it's in the range of micrograms and one "hit" can vary widely so until you try a particular batch you really don't know how strong a given hit will be, but I'd recommend a half hit or full hit your first time. A good first time mushrooms dose is 2-2.5 grams. Some people like to go balls in the first time and do 2 hits of acid and a full eighth of shrooms, but I prefer to err on the side of caution
