ITT we brag about our GPAs because we're a little insecure about our intelligence.

I finished my master's with a 4.0. It felt awesome until I realized that I was just compensating for finishing my BS with a 3.75.

>>7792154
Nope. You can easily get into a masters program with that. Direct phd isn't going to happen though.
>Semester: 3.94
>Cumulative: 3.81
GPA doesn't mean shit unless you know the major and school.
Stupid question:
If you have a 4.0, does that mean you have perfect 100s in every class? Or does it only matter on the letter grade? Could you have all 95s and still get a 4.0 since those are considered As?
>>7792246
4.0 corresponds to the letter grade of an 'A,' the best possible grade. And grade delineations vary by school, or program. An A-minus typically counts for something less than 4.0, around 3.5-3.7.
Just graduated with my Bachelors in Math with a minor in Computer Science with a 3.85 cumulative. I didn't feel anything special about it to be honest.
>>7792301
damn son
3.77
I got a B in an online english course
1.8 GPA at a community college and 100k salary

Not that such things actually matter.

>>7792041
> implying anything above a 3.6 is worth the effort
2.05
I dropped out almost 2 years ago. :/
Thinking about going back in September.
3.88 at an okay state school, yes I am quite insecure about my intelligence. I will not lie.
>Semester:3.5
>Cumulative:3.7
It's gonna crash down to 1.1 this semester. I can feel it and I haven't even started yet.
>>7792439
Really?
Because my contract and pay stubs beg to differ.
I don't know how the fuck GPA works, but in a scale from 1 to 10, with 10 being the highest score possible, I got all 10's except for one subject (I had five subjects on this semester)
So, I guess that was good.
UNAM from Mexico here, electrical engineering.
