Everywhere i go on this board, i hear that math education in freedomland is utter shit.
Maybe im just stupid, but i cant find a proper source for the detailed curriculum of colleges in the US.
Could someone give me a brief summary of content taught on the first few college years of a math student?

For comparison, first year computer science student from germany here, finishing my first 13 weeks of being a student on some pleb university. (18 years old)
Here is my first year so far, only concerning my math courses, proving everything from scratch:
http://pastebin.com/mDVEB7gK
We learned how to handle 80% of the operations needed in high school, like derivation, differentiation and basic calculus, so no need to learn the handicraft. Pure proofs...
>tl;dr is US math education system really that shit? Compare with german masterrace(link).

It's called a field.

I was surprised to find out that American highschool math is more rigorous than UK hs equivalent math because europoors can never find enough time to explain how dumb america is

Not sure much about the euro uni courses but I know they would need some catching up to do

Here is how a B.Sc. in math usually goes in the US:

>1. Semester
College Algebra: Linear Equation in one variable, systems of two linear equations in two variables and quadratic equations.
General education requirements
>2. Semester
Trigonometry: Sine, Cosine and Tangent
General education requirements
>3. Semester
Precalculus: Learning how to plot functions
General education requirements
>4. Semester
Calculus 1: Calculating derivatives
General education requirements
>5. Semester
Calculus 2: Calculating integrals
General education requirements
>6. Semester
Calculus 3: Multivariable calculus
General education requirements
>7. Semester
Matrix Algebra: Solving linear systems with Gaussian elimination
General education requirements
>8. Semester
Differential Equations: Solving ordinary differential equations
General education requirements

Thus guy doesn't realize you can take both math A level, pure math and physics into a pretty good level for that age group here. Few do though

So the well known German vomitorium style learning good God

this is not true, I am a molecular bio major and I finished calc 2 my second semester

This guy has no idea what he's talking about. No one majoring in math takes classes below calculus.

If you go to a big enough university in the US (big enough to have first-year courses specifically for math majors) that's about what you'd take

The only differences I can see are that in my experience, linear algebra doesn't usually bother with the groups/rings/fields set of topics. That happens in the algebra course.

Also you apparently are stupid because you can find the course calendar for a math degree at literally any university just by googling

Weil die Codemonkeywahrscheinlichkeit hoch ist.
> pleb Uni

if your taking pre-cal in college there's a problem
