I think I finally understand probability.

Everything has a 50/50 chance of happening. Either something happens or it doesn't, 50/50. A dice might roll on a certain number or it won't, 50/50. Literally everything can be deduced to 50/50 probability in life.

Either I will die someday or I will live forever. 50:50

Actually, the chance of you living forever is really small.

You have a 50% chance of living today and a 50% chance of dying. Tomorrow the same so your chance of living are 0.50 to the power of the number of days you plan to live.

If you plan to live infinitely then your chance is infinitesimal.

I can tell you don't know calculus

I know enough to know that for f(n) = 0.5n, as n approaches infinity, f(n) approaches 0.

my chance of being shot in the head one second from now is 50%

therefore my chance of surviving the next minute of my life is (1/2)^60

I'm fucked

I mean 0.5^n

Nonstandard analysis is consistent

No bro, you don't understand. Either something happens or it doesn't, 50/50. The 50/50 resets each day my man. On the hypothetical day of my death, let's say in 57 years it will still be 50/50. I'll wake up that day and will either die that day or wake up the next day and live forever dude. 50 Fuckin' 50

No, if f(n) = 0.5n, as n approaches infinity, f(n) approaches infinity/2

>infinity/2

Which is infinity...
