If you fly a RC helicopter on a planet that is spinning, does it get left behind or does it spin with the Earth?

It would move to the back. If, however, it were lighter than air and moves towards low pressure zones (like a balloon), it would actually move forward. When you car accelerates, the air in the car moves towards the rear because it resists changes in motion, like all matter.
