Is there any doubt that calculus is the most AESTHETIC branch of knowledge?

Yes!

excuse me?

Why tho?
Not gonna lie, brainlet here tho who took one term of number theory and now I use it all the time.
Sometimes I come up with things that Im not smart enough to formally prove but seem to work.
Im a CS major and sometimes formal math eludes me.
How would I prove this is true?
by the binomial theorem
(m+r)^x
= sum_{i=0}^x (x choose i) m^i r^{x-i}
each summand with 1<= i <= x is divisible by m so is equal to 0 mod m
so
(m+r)^x
= sum_{i=0}^x (x choose i) m^i r^{x-i}
= r^x (mod m)
>>9137794
Triple induction would do it.
>>9137794
You can literally expand the brackets (obviously you don't need to write out every term), and you'll see you have a bunch of terms of the form m*something with a lone r^x at the end, which is clearly congruent to r^x (mod m).
Katie Walker is a fucking riot.
direct quote, "Normalizing autism is sure gonna come in handy. 1:68 kids now, and increasing exponentially every year. Expected to be 1:2 in 2030. We should celebrate differences, but not when they're caused by poisoning innocent children via 40+ vaccines before the age of 6. Neurotoxins and living beings don't mix."

Many such cases!
I think the worse part about this is that they are introducing less awareness but more normalizing of a personality disorder with this "LOL SHE'S SO WEIRD." It does more harm to the autistic child because the child should be taught what is appropriate. The part where Julia jumps up and down flails her arms and everyone else repeats her actions like is some kind of game is not only uneducational to non autists but it's sending the message to children with autism that it's ok to do those things. Autisic children that do abnormal actions should attempt to learn that those things are inappropriate or at lest be reminded of that. But instead progressives try to act like we are all the same mentality.
t. Brother of someone with mental retardation with similar symptoms of autism
Oh yeah and go vaccinate your kids immediately after birth so they won't get some rare std or some shit. lmao.

Since Bell's Theorem is actually a non-locality proof and the Bell inequalities have been experimentally violated in the laboratory, is the Standard Model of physics, which rests on (among other things) the principle of local causality, wrong?
>>9137663
Even if you generously accept the suspect claim non-locality has been proven, it still wouldn't make classical physics wrong, it would just make classical physics specific to a particular context of non-quantum scale phenomena.
>>9137669
>it would just make classical physics specific to a particular context of non-quantum scale phenomena.
Has it not already been shown to be the case that classical physics is only an approximation, given the advent of general and special relativity? What does that have to do with whether the standard model of particle physics rests on faulty assumptions?
>>9137663
Causality is a lie.

We might be able to, but it's not a given that you definitely can be able to just because they can rape since rape can be performed without the use of abstract thought.
How much Data can you fit in a Saltine cracker

idk but you could double it by topping the cracker with swiss cheese.
Hole = 0, cheese = 1
What's the mass of the cracker?

Sup /sci/, I didn't see this proof solved in the manner I solved it (not using prime factorization, Bezout's identity, or a contradiction) and wanted to make sure I solved it correctly. Also I am rusty on proofing so please let me know if there is anything you guys think I should improve on. For reference the statement that I am trying to prove is as follows:
Use induction to show that if gcd(a, b) = 1 then (a, b^n)=1 for all n>=1.
here is the second page of the proof
> using more then 5 words in a proof
NIBBA WHAT
>from theorem 1.4 we know that if x|yz then x|y or x|z
This is false. Let x = 6, y = 2, z = 3. I don't know what theorem 1.4 says, but it probably doesn't say what you think it says.
Look at my FUCKING Linear Algebra syllabus:
"Class meetings will frequently involve working in small groups on challenging problems, sharing your progress on these problems
(however tentative), and providing others with questions and comments on their mathematical thinking. Active learning
methods have been shown to strengthen student learning and achievement, foster students' confidence in their ability to do
mathematics, and increase the diversity of the mathematical community (http://www.cbmsweb.org/Statements/Active_Learning_Statement.pdf). It is
your responsibility as a learner and as a class member to participate, rather than being just a passive observer or note-taker. In
addition to working together in class, you are encouraged to find study partners or to form study groups outside of class."
Are you fucking kidding me? Just teach me the definitions and theorems and let me prove in peace. We spent 15 minutes today working in groups and writing/explaining our answers on a whiteboard. Fuck this gay as shit.
Q: Are you a dumb engineering freshman?
A: No, this course is for Math majors only whom have already taken a computation-based course in Linear Algebra
Q: Do you go to a brainlet university?
A: I go to a decent state school. I've had outstanding profs before, idk what the fuck this is. The prof is doing research in "mathematical learning" so we're her guinea pigs
math is collaborative, deal with it

What is the meaning of life?
>>9137439
to interpret meaning
sensu biosemiotics
Depends how you define meaning
Life doesnt have a meaning really, its just very complex forms of matter that reproduces and keeps its cycle.
If you ask why(how) did it start, we dont have much evidence as or happened looooong ago, but te reason it kept happening may be sheer luck( earth temperature & elements(water,carbon,calcium,etc) moon, seasons)
actually the only life that we see there is, like animals, are "programmed" to reproduce, if they werent, they would just die leaving no descendent and desappearing forever
English is not my first languaje btw cheers

Reverse osmosis. Basically you boil it, extract the hydrogen and oxygen, and recombine that into water. Whomever contaminated the groundwater should already be paying for this.
