No I don't really have a problem with women in my field because they mostly seem genuinely interested and competent. Also I'm not a neurotic virgin.

A concept created as an attempt to rationalize the perpetual motion of the universe
>>
It's a point of reference more than anything else. Our society runs efficiently due to having this point of reference. Should anyone be able to perceive time in a non linear sense then they would literally have a cheat code to life. Having an experience where time seems to slow down, or an out of body where you don't perceive time at all makes you realise that time is created so enable us to have a shared reality.

Is it possible for "citizen scientists" to launch an object into low earth orbit for a relatively cheap amount?
75 posts and 7 images submitted.
>>
>>8755150
To throw? No you can't get something into orbit by throwing it. Too little and it'll fall back to earth, too much it'll escape gravity. There is no in-between
>>
Whats relatively
It'll be in the millions of dollars
>>
>>8755166
Obviously you wouldnt throw it. Like a hobby sized rocket, or is there some problem?

I'm glad to be honest. America is slowly going back to being the backward shithole it was always meant to be, but they got saved by WW2 and European scientists. Cutting science and increasing military spending is literally perfect for the chinks now.

Question,

Dark Matter/Energy is bullshit right?

Physicists are just embarrassed that they have no fucking clue what's going on?
26 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
>>8757285
Yes. They admit that they don't know what it is. They say that all the time. I don't understand your question.
>>
"dark matter" is a placeholder term that means literally nothing

Nobody except retards and clickbait have ever claimed they know anything about dark matter, except to posit that something must exist to account for a deficiency of mass in current astronomical models

How do I get the will to read large volumes of text really quickly

You will never do it when you want to. only if you need to
>>
>>8756311
It's a meme. Just read as slow as you need to so you understand what you're reading. Be in a quiet space and stick to it. 10 pages per day will let you get through a 800 page textbook in less than 3 months. How many people do you know who read like 4 textbooks + some small books each year? Just 10 pages per day and sticking with it puts you at the 99th percentile. It's really simple. Most people are too lazy to do even that, though.

Are any of you actually smart, or do you just sit here regurgitating well worded, memorized "facts".

What do you think is better, experience or studying?
11 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
Studying can be experience, depending on the field. On a math based, non-memorizing career you almost don't memorize anything, and studying means solving problems, which is some kind of experience.
>>
>>8755732
study then experience
>>
>>8755732
>experience or studying?
Study is useless without life experience.
Few people push themselves to quest and suffer.
