So, are some men more men than other men?
Are some women more women than other women?

yea no

Combinatorics people are the smartest
>>8872250
It needs to be combined with something like algebra or geometry since it lacks deep structure on its own. Otherwise you're essentially just working on separate, independent puzzles.
Is this accurate?
I think you're on to something. Bring this to Bill Nye
>>8871696
Add another axis for [math]\mathbb{R}[/math] don't real.
>>8871709
>R don't real.
Doesn't the x-axis cover that?
Anyway I suppose I should give some kind of justification for my placing of the equations:
>y-axis (Authoritarian/Libertarian)
Covers the extent to which you support in non-standard approaches.
>x-axis (Economic left/right)
Covers the extent to which you believe small differences should be ignored in the pursuit of equality.
Rebuttle this.
Protip: You can't.

>after 6 months day would be night and night would be day
why?
>>8871610
Let's say right now it's 2PM and sunny. If you were to fast forward EXACTLY 6 months in the future, in theory you would be facing the opposite side of the sun (thus away from the sun), and it would no longer be sunny, despite being 2PM.
Guys, what isn't on a spectrum? I mean really, when you think about it, everything in reality is just a spectrum of space dust floating though infinity.
Energy states of electrons are quantized.
>>8871573
yeah but isn't that also just a spectrum?
>>8871573
aren't energy states just eigenvalues of the wave equation tho
Hello. I have developed a formula that allows you to add together the same numbers of different exponents. For example:
X^2 + X^3
I won't post the formula online but it works for every single real number I've tested including π. For instance I added 17^π and 17^√3 into one expression.
Has this been done before?

I want to know what it feels like to be autistic.
How would i go about turning myself into an autistic person?
There was a thread about an anon that became autistic after eating noting but butter dogs for a few weeks so i know it's possible to willingly become autistic.
>>8871173
>How would i go about turning myself into an autistic person?
Get vaccinated, duh
>>8871173
Visit another country with an alien culture but don
't modify your behavior at all
>>8871195
That wouldn't make me autistic though.
I wouldn't be able to see shapes, taste color or hear smells.
why do so many molecules with conjugated pi bonds have carcinogenic effects? brainlet chem-engineer lecturer couldnt answer my question
Probably cause his area of expertise is developing the best way to make kilotons of shit, not what happens when you put milligrams of shit into the body of a specific species.
It's just one of life's great mysteries.

Benzene oxidases and produces a compound that interacts with DNA.
Would you rather say that a trans women is a women or say that an engineer is a scientists?
Rather say a trans woman is a woman. Its not true but I dont wanna be lumped in with those scientist faggots
What's gayer, getting fucked by a shemale or studying engineering?

>What's gayer, getting fucked by a shemale or getting fucked by a male?
Scientifically speaking, is a fetus a living, functioning homo sapiens? Is killing a fetus one week before birth any different than killing it one week after birth? If a fetus extracted from the womb a few days before birth were placed next to a baby born naturally, could a PhD. Embryologist tell a difference?
>>8871077
Scientically speaking, why won't you fucking kill yourself already. Every time I come to /sci/ and see another of these gay ass threads it just makes me wish that the vacuum will collapse.
>>8871094
Scientifically speaking, what biochemically stimulates the massive release of dopamine when you shitpost like this?
Biologically, the organism becomes a living, single entity after fertilization of the egg occurs and genetic material combines, since the organism's genome forms and begins expression. If the genome were to be sequenced/karyotyped at this moment, you could identify it as a human.
so i'm sure many of you have heard of Trump's proposed cuts to science agencies-- but if you haven't, refer here and read: http://www.sciencemag.org/news/2017/03/trumps-first-budget-analysis-and-reaction
for those of you who may not know how the budget works here in the us ill try to break it down as simple as i can:
> there are 20 government agencies that get funding from the government
> the president outlines detailed plans for budget plans when it comes to funding agencies in an appropriations bill
> bill goes to both houses' specific committees dealing with appropriations and they will make any changes they see fit
> the bill will then be voted on by everyone in congress
so let's talk. Do you agree that these budget cuts could pose terrible threats to the us? I mean think about it, he proposes a massive cut to the NIH, "[his] administration’s proposed 18% cut to the budget of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Many are also worried about plans to reorganize the agency, in part by eliminating its institute dedicated to training scientists in developing countries". this part disturbed me the most, but it's just one of few things he plans to do in cutting science.
what do you think about the spending cuts? what kind of ramifications could this have on the US? if you were president, how would you be allotting money to the sciences?
>if you were president
I would make a fund for sci moderators so they can take these /pol/ threads to where they belong.
>>>/pol/
>>8870861
dunno im gonna have to disagree with you m8, i think the main purpose of op's thread was to talk about the lack of concern for science when it comes to federal funding
i think it deserves to be on this board
and to answer op, id probably just cut the defense budget close to half of what it is now and funnel the other half into the sciences with an emphasis on biomedical research and environmental science
If I put the output of a spectrum analyzer into a spectrum analyzer what would happen?
What would the significance of the output be?
>>8870731
The Fourier transform of a Fourier transform is the original signal time reversed
F{F{f(t)}}=f(-t)
>>8870746
When I made this post I was memeing but I started to wonder what would actually happen...
That's kinda interesting
>>8870731
What is the output of a spectrum analyzer?
I'm EE but I don't know what you mean by the output of a spectrum analyzer, is it a signal or do you want to put the real signal back into another spectrum analyzer?
>relearning basic geometry
Am I just a brainlet or do most people find it this boring?
Depends what you mean by "basic". I find euclidean geometry really fun.
>>8870440
For compass/straightedge stuff try euclid the game. It's a fun way to learn that kind of stuff.
>>8870440
