What's the outlook of burgerland education in 10 years.

Based on the latest PISA statistics it does not look good at all.

Presently it is in grad school that US universities shine, some of that by attracting the best students across the world. In 20 years time that may have changed.

But where could the brain drain relocate to? Canada? That's the only place that immediately comes to mind because all of Eurasia is burning.

How do i stop procrastinating?
Post tips that are actually effective, and can you tell me what works best for you. Google isn't much help.
Don't say "do it now", because i'll just start and wonder off 15 mins. later. Also I've had this problem just for the last month, i don't know what got in to me.

this thread is not /pol/tier enough to last even 1 hour on /sci/

you need to rephrase it

try "what is it about different races that make some more likely to procrastinate than others?" or something
>>
the answer is do it now because you have to train your brain. if you cant stay focused and wander off then the problem is staying motivated, and you need to force yourself to do that too, so try thinking about why it's important you finish this, or why you made this stupid fucking OP

Alternitively amphetamines are really great for this but if you already have problems with motivation then it's really going to fuck you hard in the long run
>>

I'm a chronic procrastinator myself and I'm by no means cured but I think the "just do it" approach might work
>stop worrying about literally anything else
>if you stop working, start working again
>if your performance declines take a quick break doing something that doesn't take much investment

I don't use this method myself, I usually just say fuck it and produce some sub-par work

basically its a bunch of chemists pretending to be mathematicians who want to justify waiting in line for their unemployment cheques because their field is "pure".

In reality, engineers and mathematicians work together in almost ever field, especially electronics and computer science.

Let's be honest,
Is cheating a smart thing to do or does it prove that you are a brainlet?
18 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
Anyone who doesn't cheat from time to time is a cucky sucker. Not every class is something you need to remember. Fucking everyone cheats from time to time and gets away with it, unless they're spineless moralfags who will never achieve anything.
>>
Is your goal in college to learn or to get the magic piece of paper that lets you get a job?
>>
>>8877281
I've never cheated and I went to an Ivy for undergrad an got into a top ten grad program in my field. The people I've know to be cheaters were all beta losers. Only a total brainlet is ever in a position where cheating looks like a good choice.

HTF do you do this shit? Moon is easy cause it's huge( I recommend it, it's beautiful as fuck), same goes with sun. But a planet? That shit is hard as shit, not only do I got to deal with light pollution I have to get the planet in my scope while there's other stars around.

Anyways this might as well be an astronomy thread. The telescope I use is a Celestron 6A2 Refactor telescope. I can see a man on the moon especially if I use a lens with a smaller diameter(I haven't tried yet, but I'm pretty sure smaller diameter means better focus)

Not my pic, but pic related is what I see when I use this telescope on the moon.

Doesn't your scope have a finder? If so, make sure it's pointing at the same thing the scope is. So find the Moon in the scope, then check the finder to see if it's pointing at the same place. You should be able to adjust it. Then use the finder to point the scope towards the planet, and it should appear somewhere within the field of view.

ITT: We figure out the best careers for the very near future (i.e 2030-2100).

I'll quote an article from Future Timeline.
''Some of the new job titles becoming widespread in 2030 include the following:

>Alternative Vehicle Developer
>Avatar Manager / Devotee
>Body Part Maker
>Climate Change Reversal Specialist
>Memory Augmentation Surgeon
>Nano Medic
>Narrowcaster
>'New Science' Ethicist
>Old Age Wellness Manager / Consultant >Specialist
>Quarantine Enforcer
>Social 'Networking' Officer
>Space Pilot / Orbital Tour Guide
>Vertical Farmer
>Virtual Clutter Organizer
>Virtual Lawyer
>Virtual Teacher
>Waste Data Handler

It certainly looks like the Neuralink/Tesla/SolarCity/SpaceX block will dominate the private market on energy, space and tech, but that wasn't so obvious 20 years ago.

Yes. Of course I will say this because I am a Computer Engineering student, but let me explain

At least so far in my 2 years of undergrad, the comments in imgur link you posted are actually pretty accurate when it comes to Computer Science Engineering students.

My degree is Electrical and Computer Engineering, because essentially the two go hand in hand. Obviously you know electrical engineering is all about circuitry, electronics, signals, etc. and computer science is about the theoretical math behind computer algorithms. Many people would consider electrical engineering to be more rigorous, due to the fact that higher levels of mathematics are used (in a way) and simply that the subject matter can be difficult to comprehend.

Computer engineering is essentially a 50/50 blend between computer science and electrical engineering. You will learn the computer science aspects, such as programming, algorithms, running time, and you will also learn the low-level aspects of computers including assembly language, how data is stored and manipulated within a computer system (registers, the stack, the heap, bytes, words, etc.). Essentially, you will be much more knowlegable about how computers work simply because you are not working with such higher levels of abstractions at first - you are learning how the internals function and can build your knowledge of the abstractions off of that.

That certainly seems like a more fastidious and elucidatory path into the computer industary than simply studying computer science, I must say.

A process which usually improves fitness is currently doing the opposite. This is still evolutionarily plausible because the process is beneficial on average.

Help me anons. Who here majors in Math?
I'm currently doing Math as a degree and I have to choose stats or pure to major in. I've only done real analysis this yr as a somewhat "proof-based and rigourous" course, and i find it fucking hard to get around. I can't even do most of Baby Rudins problems. Yet I find Pure to be really interesting but I think I was destined to not do it, seeing as id most likely struggle in it. Also, careers aspect is really low compared to Stats which I most likely will do instead. What do you think anons? Should someone who struggles in real analysis and is most likely a brainlet pursue Pure?

Most undergrads can't do baby rudin problems with just a course in reals and proofs class. Rudin you have to bash, the solutions to his problems usually require a slick technique, just like the proofs he presents. We went through in 2 quarters right measure theory the last quarter my senior year. But I already had done honors reals (in R^n) and complex, algebra, axiomatic set theory (ironically out of Enderton, the book in that image), and advanced logic at this point. So I had a lot more experience and some of his problems I still couldn't solve without hints from friends and the professor. Keep bashing.
>>
>>8875263
I've given up the textbook and resorted to doing my Uni problem sets. Definitely will go back to it, but its very weird to me to relearn Analysis again through Rudin after going through a semester of it already (we don't use Rudin as a prescribed).
Do you know if Real Analysis is a Pure Math trademark course?
>>
>>8875272
Rudin is alot more abstract, general, and sophisticated than introductory analysis. Also the exercises make you better at solving hard problems (a valuable skill). You should know analysis at the baby rudin by the end of undergrad or grad school is be a lot harder.

If you don't feel ready take your time, I hear Abott is nice intro text to reals.
