So far I like this Russian MILF on the UCI channel, but her teaching really isn't that good. Anyone else have suggestions for Youtube math professors who are easy on the eyes?
you are fucking retard

Not OP, but whats wrong with finding sources of learning that motivate you the most?
If universities awarded aced exams with blowjobs from hot models we'd be done colonizing Solar system by now
Have you ever proved a theorem?
I would hope that everyone on this board has, at one point or another.

If widespread implementation of this technology could solve our energy needs for longer than human civilization is expected to even exist, why hasn't the government (US) taken an aggressive and public stance on working out the kinks and getting it funded?
>>8896628
>The state functions to represent the peoples well being

Thorium reactors are a load of hype. They do offer some advantages though.
>>why hasn't the government (US) taken an aggressive and public stance on working out the kinks and getting it funded?
oh I don't know the DOE is now run by someone who wants to get rid of the DOE?
>>8896667
To be fair, I never heard much about it in the last bit of the previous President's term, either.
Also, what makes them a load of hype? From what I can find, they're more fuel-efficient than current reactors and have much more common fuel to use. The issues I ran into were they aren't cost effective, partially due to government subsidizing other energy methods, and there's a risk of proliferation, but if another country starts making them first, that risk is only increased anyway.
Seriously, is there any scientific evidence that magnets can cause brain-damage and changes in perception?
I have magnetic gyroscopes on one of my favorite daily helmets. I also wear a magnetic bracelet.
>>8896353
There was one study where magnetaic fields and the north-south pole vortex changes dramatically human spirit for more comsumer driven mentality where people begin to think that the worls is flat and conspiracious reptilians start to chase you. It was one of those that the national health organiasation of westbro baptist church published.
They also recommended to turn into mormons and stay away from all that is even slightly electric or magnetic, including earth
Honestly though the ampers matter. If the current is way too low then there is not much external to happen.
No. The stydy uses many teslas whereas you puny magnet non time varying does nothin
>>8896381
if magnets can cause braindamage and braindamage leads to atheism then I'm really in trouble.

Will drinking beer help me study?
>>8895731
Sure, if you plan on applying what you learned while you're drunk as well.
You learn something drunk, you forget it sober.

>be taking organic chemistry
>have professor bruice
>shes shit
How could someone who wrote a really good Organic Chemistry book be so shit at teaching? I had her for 109A at UCSB. She was awful, mean, and her lectures were just her reading powerpoint pictures of her book.
>>8895276
Already made her shekels and doesn't give a fuck probably.
>>8895276
Bruice is quite the character, her confident condescending nature is admirable. A tenured professor with a devilishly proud gait; she strolls into class in her all white outfits like some sort of prodigal ochem deity. Don't go to lecture, do the end of book problems thoroughly/multiple times, and do practice tests. Do this 2-3 hours a day for an A.
>>8895276
Going to her lectures is a waste of time unless you've already read the sections she will be covering thoroughly, something many people taking this class often aren't able to do. Do every problem in the textbook and expect everything to be on the exams. Not necessarily difficult, but can be very time consuming. CLAS is hit and miss.

Explain to me why multiverse theory is any different than Theism?
>based on nothing but feels
>not testable
>unprovable
And yet it's believed in by so many "scientists"?
>>8895134
Science can't tell us how the world is, only that it can't be certain ways. Multiverse is just one of many interpretations of QM that are mathematically feasible.
>>8895134
>Explain to me why multiverse theory is any different than Theism?
It's not.
>And yet it's believed in by so many "scientists"?
Well, so is theism.
because it makes abiogenesis feasible
Why do brainlets use charts like this to choose a major or decide "superiority"? I want to understand how the brainlet mind works and this seems to be a common thread between all of them.
>IQ
Discarded
>>8894944
Assuming one is proficient at mathematics or physics, then seeing a corresponding measure of intelligence pedestaled high by society is sure to give them feelings of superiority
Since most assume this measure to be a static quantity, i.e. you get what you were born with, then it is not in anyone's power to change it too drastically
Since it cannot be changed and will be prevalent throughout an entirety of existence, those with high numbers parade around, while those with average numbers do not comment on it
Much like being born aesthetically pleasing, knowing that you won't get uglier, you are inclined to think of yourself as superior to those less facially fortunate than you

Can someone please explain hermitian conjugates and unitary matrixes?
What do you want to know?
>>8894801
They're like orthogonal matrices but you conjugate transpose them rather than just transpose.
>>8894803
So if a matrixes complex conjugate is also it's inverse then it's a unitary matrix?
What do you think of the expanding earth theory? I think there is a lot of interesting points, such as much of the ocean floor being relatively "new".
>>8894152
Sure, why not?
>>8894152
Saw a Youtube video about this, talking about old Mayan calendars referring to there being only 210 days in a year, then eventually 260. But if there was significant reason to discuss it we would see a lot more about it. Tectonic plates causing the continents to move is more or less confirmed at this point.
>>8894152
Serious flaw with the expanding Earth hypothesis; why is Earth the only planet which appears to have expanded?
Also it's a stupid idea and goes against everything we know about conservation of matter and energy.
Is there a way I can find out what various body fluids taste like?
I'm in this anatomy 101 course. Nothing related to my major, just a class I took on a passing interest. And I just can't stop thinking about what all these things i'm reading about taste like, or what it would be like to bathe in them.
I'm specifically curious as to the properties of cerebrospinal fluid and lymph.
Can anyone direct me to resources concerning this? Has anyone ever collected and drank pure lymph before?
>>8893554
pure lymph tastes pretty sour imo
Have you considered becoming a cannibal, OP?
