Sorry, if you think this is inappropriate here. But I find it more comfortable to ask you guys for advice since most of you likely have on average a much higher education then the guys that frequent advice /Advice or /r9k or whatever.
So some of you probably had encountered this problem in college.
Or didn't, because you had superior study habits to begin with.
Anyway,
What's the best way I can keep myself focused on studying.
I want to spend time working/studying as much as I can. But keep getting distracted or stress/worry gets to me and it's hard to keep working.
Or I get hyped because the stuff I'm studying is fun to me etc.
Something always breaks my concentration.
So what do you guys do to keep your mind on the task?

Can pain cause brain/nerve damage? As in getting, for example, your leg stuck in a meat grinder for long fucking time and when they find you, you are mentally dead.
If it can, why is there no pain threshold? I get that pain is supposed to help you know that you are being hurt, but why does pain get so intense that you are mentally, not physically, prevented from taking any action? It's more of a handicap at that point...

I walked into a warehouse that I later learned was a factory for polyurethane foam for solar panel shingles that go on roofs. Nothing was on or being produced or anything, the foam was just sitting there and the place smelled like shit. How dangerous it to be in a warehouse where closed cell polyurethane foam is produced? I was in the warehouse for a few minutes?

So we all agree that the standard base 10 should be replaced by a base that is a power of 2. Now the only question that remains is if 8 16 or 32 is the best number.
Almost all people have no problem learning a 25+ letter alphabet, so 32 being too large is not an argument

Does anyone have a youtube channel or video that explains to me how computers work at a fundamental level?
Things I don't understand are everything about how data is stored and how storage size has reduced over time.
I don't understand how hole punch cards were used to make computers. I really don't understand anything about computers.
I know how to build a PC, you put the parts on the motherboard and google the rest. I completely lack the actual mechanisms that make a computer work, and it seems like I should know that.
