>not knowing the Trachtenberg system
But does it work tho
>I can't get into an MD Programme, guess I'll be a dentist
>implying dentistry programs haven't been super competitive since the 90s and are no longer a fallback for brainlets too dumb for med school

Competitive yes, but
>implying anyone goes to dental school as their first choice
>>9087168
Dentistry is probably more lucrative and is less of a head ache than being a doctor at this point, I wouldn't doubt there are a lot of people doing dentistry as a first choice these days.
I made a solid state tesla coil

yeah right im not getting rickrolled again

>solid state tesla coil
how is an inductor solid state?
is it in principal ecologically unsustainable to buy products from third world countries that need to be flown to the west ? or could the economic benefit for the poor country make up for it ?
>>9074878
>economic benifit
No they lose everything they have and bankers get rich
Prove me wrong.

>>9087094
10 doesn't work as a value for A but 1 does.
A(A-1)=0
A=0 and A=1 both are valid.
A is constant though, not a variable.
0=A=1

Post good Stem books/texts that also have good covers.

Nice book OP. Your request sure does feel welcome on this board. In fact, it is so welcome that I'm going to have to tell you to always post your bulltshit here and ignore >>>/wsr/
By which I mean to say that you should post some books of your own instead of expecting the board to respond to your thread.

What problem in Ramsey theory is Grahams number used in? Can someone explain this number and what its used for to me? Im afraid im far too simple minded to comprehend, but holy duck I cant contain my curiosity after reading about this.
>Connect each pair of geometric vertices of an n-dimensional hypercube to obtain a complete graph on 2^n vertices. Colour each of the edges of this graph either red or blue. What is the smallest value of n for which every such colouring contains at least one single-coloured complete subgraph on four coplanar vertices?
He worked out that n is between 6 and Graham's number.
>>9074973
How the hell did he get to Grahams number? Is it not too big to work up to even for a computer?
Hey sci, I am pretty dumb, but interested in maths. Can anyone please explain how the derivative and integral are inverse processes? Like I don't understand how the area under the curve and rate of change are inverses. Thanks so much.
deriving something is finding out what rate a curve increases/decreases at a given point.
integrating something is seeing how it accumulates over a given period.
If you derive something then integrate it, it's like having two processes cancel each other out, very much like 1 + -1 = 0. Finding the accumulation of a curve that describes the rate of an equation just brings you back to the original equation.
Let's say HYPOTHETICALLY that I wanted to start a colony of humans in a contained habitat for the purpose of testing a political theory out. How much genetic diversity do I need to avoid inbreeding and wholesale colony collapse?
>>9074746
depends on if you want to use IVF with banked sperm of not
>>9074754
Let's say no, at least not after the horror of the situation sets in and everyone settles down to their normality.

I've always wanted to get an MRI of my head, just to see if there's anything obviously wrong up there. Is this a good idea? I know there's a risk of over-diagnosis, but if imaging detects a tumor before it's symptomatic and enables treatment before the disease causes harm isn't it worth the risk?
I would consider getting a brain MR.
Don't get a spine though, everybody looks awful and most of it is clinically meaningless.
>>9074681
do it
Got one for tractography research, looks cool
>>9074706
I remember getting x-rays for my spine.
The tech said to make my neck as straight as possible.
The doctor interpreting said I had neck problems because my neck was too straight.
I'm an idiot who was sent back two years into math during my freshman year of college.
I have my (summer) trig final tomorrow. How do I survive?
METH attenuates all forms of retardation.
D O I T, just once, for the trig,
just take some math amphetamines
>I think that modern physics has definitely decided in favor of Plato. In fact the smallest units of matter are not physical objects in the ordinary sense; they are forms, ideas which can be expressed unambiguously only in mathematical language.
Physics describes matter as ideas.
Neuroscience can't describe ideas as matter.
Why do people still cling to outdated materialist views of reality?
Because when I'm hungry I need a ham sandwich, not the idea of a ham sandwich
>I think that modern
"Modern" at the time of black and white photographies, a lot, I mean A LOT has changed since then.
>physics has definitely decided in favor of
Science doesn't "decide", much less "decide in favor of", does that guy even know what is science?
>Plato
Dumb beardy Greek hobo who said "you can't know nuffing!" and has been praised for millenia by his equally dumb followers.
>the smallest units of matter are not physical objects in the ordinary sense
Yes they are; they have physical properties like any other object.
>they are forms
Nope.
>ideas
Nope again, when will you stop pulling bullshit out of your arse
>can be expressed unambiguously only in mathematical language.
And through scientific experiments...
Just who the fuck is that pseud?

Fusion is coming.

Welcome on the thread
I'm the elected representant of our work group.
We are some discrets people who work together to have a brillant future.
Our goal is mainly a financiary succes for each member for this we make efforts in large range of competence and we try to invent and sell new technologics objetcs, to create new mathematicals concepts, physicals materials, etc...
For the moment we are mainly working on two projects. The first is the creation of a new fluid to replace the telescop's glasses and the other is a camera which is enable to detect a fire but there is a lot of projects. If you want to join us post something you judge attractive, interresting people will be recontacted just give us an email.
Thanks guys.

Isnt that just applied dimensional analysis with wace mechanics?
