What's it called when you want to decompose an integer into only 3 numbers that add up to the original?

Some examples include:

I heard that many aspects of turbulence are a mystery to our current knowledge of physics

The problem is there's no neat little equation describing turbulent flow so you have to use dirty numerical methods and approximations.

Do you know how a sextant works? Very basically: you can measure youre position on the planet with it just by looking at certain stars through a special tool.
So now it becomes easy: just travel along a coastline and measure youre position every now and then, and mark the positions on a blank map. Then combine the dots and you get the actual shape of the coast.

I have no idea if thats how they did it, but it seems like it would work pretty well assuming the sextant is good and the intervalls arent too long. Wind has to be pretty constant too but you could get around that by using oars...

I'd guess it has to do with the distribution of labor for the majority of human existence. Men have historically been used as hunters, soldiers, etc. Every army needs at least a few smart people on top, and some grunts at the bottom, which leads to variability in intelligence being acceptable. Women have historically been used as gatherers, house tenders, etc, and thus generally need medium intelligence across the board in order to perform properly.

It should also be noted that we're talking about intelligence as a whole, rather than more specific forms of intelligence that each sex needs in order to perform the roles they've been historically restricted to. I don't believe general IQ is a very accurate predictor of how people will perform at various tasks.

I want to get into population genetics which is also a specific career that you can go into that is different from regular biology and genetics.

Why are some equations non-analytic? Is it a deficit in our mathematics? Why should some equations be inaccessible to our study of equations? This has confused me for some time, especially since analytic solutions for anything but hydrogen seem impossible (or I am told this is the case). Do we just not have the necessary language yet? Or is it an impassable barrier? How do we justify the physicality of a non-analytic equation?

Taylor series are pretty good at approximating things, but they might not be the most "natural" representation.

Physicists have names for the first four terms:
Position, Velocity, Acceleration, Jerk.

If you use Fourier series you have:
DC component, 1Hz, 2Hz, 3Hz,...

Both of these representations can be used to approximate things very well, but each one is more useful for different types of questions.

Would the book be too hard for only algebra 1 knowledge?
I want to move to serge lang because khan academy is tediously long and boring, and wastes lots of paper.

Videos are great for understanding, but absolutely suck for retention and learning. They only make you feel more confident in the material.

I never really liked serge langs basic mathematics for someone doing it for the first time. Feel free to go through it once you're done with the above
