you know what, now that i have thought about it for more than 5 minutes, i'm thinking it probably wouldn't work that well. even if the visual simulation was incredibly realistic, AI technology is still primitive and there isn't much indication that a major advancement is on the horizon. we could still be hundreds of years from simulating a human personality.

for me, it would only take one instance of the VR girlfriend to respond with something nonsensical, or a repeated use of a stock phrase, for the illusion to be shattered and the experience not worthwhile (however, there are men who would be happy with much less advanced VR - the same men who have life-size dolls that they take around with them even though they are completely lifeless).

i think the issue of consent ties in with the general rights and laws. once an AI is deemed intelligent enough to have human rights (or something comparable), it will be assumed to be capable of giving or refusing consent.

i know your point is that an engineered AI could theoretically be designed to always give consent, but the issue hinges upon the recognition that human brains are also just computers and what we do or say at any given moment is just a product of the exact physical and chemical state of our brains in that moment.

if a biological brain, existing in a regular human, was in such a state that it would always want (and therefore consent to) sex, we would still grant that person the agency to give that consent. i think there is no scientific basis to say that an artifical brain would be any different, and therefore the law would depend on the public and official understanding of this similarity.

1) those who can only find mental and emotional stability by maintaining belief in a god/afterlife

she was known as "eyebrows girl" to me for like a year before she sorta broke into the mainstream and i figured out who she was, along with /cara/ popping up regularly on r9k.

Well i fucked up my sotry a bit, i was behind my father.
While she probably saw me, she didn't noticed me, i was just one of the many person here.
I didn't went to the hairdresser for months so i had a helmet of hair that made me uglier than habitually, good thing she didn't saw me desu.
