I've never dismissed counter arguments, I usually end up in a long discussion over them.
Just because it's the best doesn't mean it's impossible for people who've engaged in lots of casual sex to find love or stay married, it's just less likely.

I did read an interesting study where they hooked women up to a lie detector, left them in a room by themselves, and questioned them in person about their sexual partners.

By themselves - middle
In front of someone - lowest
Men were also tested but there was no significant difference in all three tests.

I'd imagine with this information you could base your confidence in the surveys numbers by how they questioned women.
A modified survey with this in mind would be nice but this is the best information we have on hand, my guess is even with deflation the correlation is the same.

At the very least a woman who lies about her virginity is more likely to stay married! (unless of course the bulk of the virgin divorces are initiated by women of that group).
