Why are normies so hyped about learning new languages?
But what if it is done with the autistic desire to read things in their original language?
>tfw you learn that African-American Vernacular English is taught alongside Standard English in some inner-city schools
Well said. My father is like that and I cringe everytime he tells me about how he has been learning Spanish.
>spent 200 bucks on some audio classes
>listens to them when he is driving or jogging or whatever
>can't actually write or even read any of it
>has had to use Spanish roughly twice in his life before and I know that he is not moving to Spain anytime soon (eurofag)
>the audio classes are in English and he can't even speak English properly
He keeps telling me that I should travel with him so I could interpret stuff for him.
>They might do a couple of duolingo or whatever lessons so they can have something to brag about it. They don't put in actual work.
That was the actual part I was referring to, which I forgot to (or neglected to) quote.
My brother is a turbo normie and speaks fluent German as a third language
