I think the actual reason though is because one image evaded me last year and I cannot recover it.

It's an image of Kristen Stewart's feet and an anon's posts describing why he likes them. I'm not a footfag but it was very comprehensive and it was a good reference tool, but I'm a fucking idiot who forgot to save it, and it's gone forever.

I do the same, but less compulsively with reaction images and pepes. I only save ones I really like, I still have have hundreds of each. I just like knowing they're there.

68GB. That's actually less than I expected.

My hard drive failed last month and I was lucky to be able to get all but a few hundred images back. Windows wouldn't even start, so I had to grab a prehistoric Ubuntu live CD, use dd to get an image (which took an entire day of praying to every God I know that it wasn't lost, because there were unreadable sector errors all the fucking time), then mount that and save most of them. It was awful.

I do this but with girls I have crushes on, I've saved over 4000 pictures of one girl and the worst part is when I started saving them they weren't organized so there is at least a couple hundered pictures scattered in multiple folders.

Also protip for twitter, open the image in a new tab and put :orig after the .jpg and you get the source file size.

I post them when a thread about them pops up but honestly I don't browse it through it all very often. In the future I plan to name all of them with tags so I can search what I want and find what I want faster. Like 'shrine_maiden kemonomimi' and have something like 'non-h' and 'fappable' too. It takes too long to find images to fap to currently but the succubus folder is 95% fappable given their nature lol. It's a big task and I don't know any programs to do it. Windows also has a filename length limitation that I have to figure out.

A: is the drive letter reserved for 3 1/2 inch floppy discs (B: is for 5 1/4 inch floppies). C: is by default the main hard drive, D: the first CD drive, and the rest are assignable. You normally cannot assign A to a drive in windows, yet you clearly have.

(Aside: fun fact - you also can't give files names like "COM1" or "LPT1" in Windows, since those were special names in DOS that have been carried through for compatibility since 1985).

I just don't delete files. If I download an installer for a program, I keep it. If I download an anime series or a movie that I don't end up liking, I still keep it around. Still got shit like my high school assignments from more than a decade ago kicking around somewhere.
