Why does 2003 seem like such an ancient, distant year, 2004 is pretty old, 2005 is half-old, 2006 seems like the barrier year, and 2007 is when this new "plane of existence" began?
Take this for example. If someone on /mu/ said "Man, I remember playing Sonic Heroes while watching Samurai jack and rocking out to Blink-182, good times, good times", hundreds of other people would probably join in with him.
But then, if that guy said "Man, I miss playing Super mario galaxy on my Wii while listening to Justin Bieber, those were good times", the responses would've been "underage get out REEEE" - despite 2008 only being FIVE years away from 2003.
Why did the world become so shiny, hi-tech, and "newfaggy" so fast? Did the Jews speed up the time matrix? How can 2003 be a nostalgic, distant memory, but 2008 be newfag garbage? Only five years had passed between then.

it has to do probably with the way we store memories, the more fond and fun those memories are the more we remember them and the more they seem far away from now because there was nothing quite like that experience.
2003 it's a decade and 3 years ago, it's a relative long time in the life of a human

2007-2009 was the transition period to the 2010s. Within the next 3 years we'll be transitioned into the 20s, and perhaps then people will feel nostalgia for those "newfaggy" times.
Why do you shill this so hard? You keep making these same threads over and over and over again, and it always devolves into this "XD EARLY 2000's KID" bullshit.
Because once normies got smartphones and facebook everything everywhere got really shitty.

>shill
You have no idea what this word means.
I am pretty sure it was the popularization of the internet among normies and the housing bubble.I remember when these were the shit
90's seem far away to me
00's seem all relatively recent
I'm in my late 20's so thats it

that's another thing, phones used to be all about getting smaller, now it's about how big they are
I was 10 in 2003, which is over half my life ago. Makes sense I guess

But I do remember enjoying Super Mario Galaxy, Super Metroid Prime 3 and Smash Brothers Brawl when I was 16

You just don't want to acknowledge that you people are unironically going all "LE 90'S KID!"

The internet made everything go much faster.
Time blurs together when you spend most of it sitting in front of a screen.
Mind as someone who grew up with it, I literally don't know what I would do without the internet, so there's that.
