How far has it receded? All the guys in my family receded to about nw2 when they were 16-20 and then it never went further, it's been the same for me.

You should really only panic if it starts turning into a 2a. Take pictures every few months and keep track, if it keeps getting worse go see a doc. No way to tell how bad it is unless you post pics though.

I started to shave it when it got to the point where it would look horrible whenever I got a hair cut (you could see all the way down to the scalp). It sucks, obviously, but cutting it down is the only solution unless you want to try and take a bunch of specialty balding shampoos to try and keep what hair you have left.

Like i said it all depends on how much hairs you're losing.

I'd put some kind of white plastic on the drainage of your shower so it catches the hair you lose and then you count.

I used to lose like 10 15 hairs everyime i passed my hands through my hair thoroughly when on the shower, so i just hopped on fin, let me show you how bad i was at the crown.

Just take a look at this shit, it wasn't super bad but it was starting to get out of control.
