>watched yuruyuri for the first time in october
>finished season 1 in one day
>have watched all the seasons and OVAs since. including S3
>have watched season 1 three times (I unironically believe it's a masterpiece)
>going to watch it a fourth time starting today
>mfw I realized this anime is therapeutic for my depression
>don't enjoy other anime as much and I always find myself losing interest
Do I have a problem, robots?
I just watched the first episode today. I'm worried it might be too cute and I'll get sucked down into the horrible, deluded world of anime fans and otakus.
It's like a drug. I know it's cute and makes me happy for a bit, but then I seek out more of it and my life slips away. They're just so cute, CUTE.
You can get torrents of the other two seasons and the OVAS
Season 3 might not have a batch yet though
I just recently finished watching season 1 for the fifth time, for the first time without subs, gunna start working on doing the same with S2 soon
Have also read the manga raw with the exception of the latest volume that I haven't bought yet, would recommend it, you think Akari can't get any more adorable until you listen to / read her dialogue without translations
I like moe characters, I just don't like anime that has its focus completely on cuteness. It's nice to have something to make you think. Characters with flaws, conflicts that are actually daunting, foreshadowing, themes, a story arch. Without that element I can't enjoy it. Real dank animes have me watching multiple episodes in a sitting. Like a book I can't put down. I can't enjoy anime like K-On! and Yuru Yuri, God knows I've tried. I like the cuteness but it lacks the substance I require. It has no complexity or texture. It's like drinking soda as opposed to wine, or playing checkers instead of chess.
Also Serial Experiments Lain, Welcome to the NHK and Neon Genesis Evangalion both had waifu-tier characters while also having problems and development.
If you enjoy it by all means go ahead and watch it. But I sure as hell don't like it.
I've been interested in this and you've rekindled that interest. May try to watch. This and Nichijou.
Watched the first three episodes of K-On and was charmed and it stuck with me but I wasn't hooked enough to want to keep watching right away.
Maybe cute girls doing cute things isn't really my thing?
I've never finished YrYr but Akari was my favorite
What argument? OP says he enjoyed yryr and is looking for similar shows, then comes this person saying his taste is shit and he's a fag. When confronted he resorts to a lame post that can be summarised as "well I don't like it and that's my preference".
>or playing checkers instead of chess.
Anyone who compares any anime to chess needs to kill himself.
Reminder china is WORST character, total SHIT, and a literal RAPIST
>complex characters and plot
After you've watched enough anime, you'll realize that anime exists to display the cuteness of 2D girls.
FUCKING NORMIES GOD DAMMIT OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELKAJFDLKJFLAKJSDLFKJASLDFJLKAJSDFLJADSF
Moe anime isn't supposed to be understood the same way as conventional fiction, because it isn't like conventional fiction. I said over here >>26419194 (or did links to other threads work like this >>>26419194 ?) that anime is like an alternate reality, and it's probably best exemplified by moe/SoL anime, because they are like peering into daily life in another reality.
Streaming has lower quality, and a player like Media Player Classic HC has better features than a web player. There's also the usual problem "the cloud" has: some day the content might suddenly not be there anymore.
