When I went to pick up my puppy, the one I saw in pictures acted normal, but one of his siblings litteraly ran away from his mum to me.
Never did any howling from sorrow or anything.
I know it sounds cringy but it is hard for me to explain the situation in English .

Go get a dog from an animal shelter, it will love you until it dies. And you wouldn't have to deal with wondering what kind of mix/type of puppy you might get.

Labs are usually great dogs for people that want a companion. Don't get an animal unless you're prepared to take care of it for years though but I'm sure you know that.

Honestly, mutts are far healthier than most purebred (inbred) dogs. Go to the shelter and adopt a mixed pupper that you like. I recently had to put down my 17yo lab mix who we got at the pound when I was 2. Labs and lab mixes will love you for life.

Smart dogs are real fun. They usually only try to escape if they're not being walked enough or have a small yard they can't run around in. Border collies have a lot of energy.

When they're smart you can easily teach them a boundary they're not supposed to cross without their owner.

Smart dogs are awesome. Used to have pic related.

Just don't get a brachycephalic breed-- you know, ones with squished-looking snouts. They have so many health problems and it depresses me that people purposefully breed more of them.

Some pure breeds also have huge hip dysplasia issues. That can get really expensive and destroy their quality of life.

No matter what pupper you get, socialize them early, be consistent with your commands without using physical punishment, and make sure to keep them at a healthy weight. Pet obesity causes so many joint and organ issues and is super common because people don't realize how proportionally different a few pounds are for a smaller animal.

find a nature trail or something to walk your dog

you will only encounter friendly people and well trained dogs, good for exercising and socializing your pupper
