Fulfilling work. Something I could be invested in, where I was doing some good in the world. And that paid the equivalent of minimum wage or better (not volunteer; you can't eat gratitude).

The key to being happy is to not overthink it. If you're comparing what you have to what someone else has, or to what you don't have, then you're going to feel discontent. I would be fine on that, but the thing is, I'm kind of adrift. Men define themselves by their profession, and I current have none.

The love and respect of others. Wealth is okay, but it's probably not enough on it's own- sure you can use it to obtain everything else but the social stuff is the hardest because as a retarded robot you won't see it coming if they scam you and leave you with nothing.
