How long until we run out of original posts and /r9k/ is kill?
p. sure hiroshima is supposed to reset the robot periodically
49 standard characters, 2000 character limit, approximately 20 posts per minute on avg
......
id say about tree fiddy
assuming we have a 2000 character counts and there are 26 letters, plus space character, plus 20 numpad characters, plus 22 special characters
that means that it is 2000 to the 68 possible combinations of characters
which is 295147905179352825856000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 posts
so the world and the universe will probably end before we ever run out of OC

For all practical purposes, never.

hiroshimoot can't even fix the site when it goes down, how will he reset the robot?

The vast majority of which are things like
Bducujrisnfikebfiejdbdj8283hdieidbrie
I could see people theoretically using random strings of numbers and letters in place of "blox" if the robot was allowed to run unreset for decades
>>26336454
assuming the robot runs of a database with post entries, you can set a half-life of entries
so after say, 6 months, posts are removed from the robot and considered OC again
which is 100% automatic
>already the 3.5 version of the robot
>>26336319
Assuming 49 different characters. That means 49 posts of one character plus 49*49 posts which 2 characters.
For all lengths up to 2000 that is about 2,5*10 to the power of 3380.
With a billion posts per second we wouldn't run out of posts before the end of the universe.
Besides that resetting the robot at some point is probably something that might happen in the future.

who here excited to inevitably reproduce the works of shakespeare?

Didn't happen before.
I thought it just stopped you from making short posts?
