Does /r9k/ like anime?
If so what show's are you guys watching right now?
Cross Ange was the last show I watched. Nothing has caught my interest since. Ange was just too good.
Finished Ah My Goddess a while back, now I'm done with the manga and there's nothing left.
I like Himouto! Umaru-chan, and Spice & Wolf. They make me happy.
I'm waiting for it to get good. Episode one caught me, but every other episode has been endlessly obnoxious and one note.
They need to take the focus off of hotaru shit and actually have a good show
>.........this is bait, right?
It's entertaining and FUN what more do you need?
Finished rewatching Cowboy Bebop for the third time, fairly convinced it's the best storytelling anime has to offer, from the overarching themes, the foreshadowing, the symbolism, the visual cues, the subtle references, it truly has all the makings of a masterpiece.
i like qt anime and srs bsns anime, not lewd harem anime
I do, but my taste is probably trash by 4chan standards. I gravitate heavily towards anything really violent and gory, along with "feels" anime. For example, in no real order my top five would be Mirai Nikki, Angel Beats!, Madoka, Kill la Kill, and Deadman Wonderland. Honorable mention to Tokyo Ghoul but it isn't finished so I don't know if it'll stay good.

>If so what show's are you guys watching right now?
im watching again season 2 of knights of sidonia
its the best!!!! mecha anime since evangelion :D
the effects.. the view.. the 3d... the cockpit view in combats
its awesome :3
Literally one of the best anime created
So fucking comfy
nichijou a best
wish there were more figures
Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi
I want to catch back up in DRR at some point, and really wanted to watch Ajin but I have no clue who to pick for it so I've been waiting to get other people's opinions on it but it seems NOBODY is watching it.
Ayy. This guy. Although all three are great.
Have you been keeping up with Koyomimonogatari? I watched the first one but haven't checked out the others yet.
Yh Nichijou can be a bit cringy/too autistic desu
What is this familia
Original comment reee
anime is shit, except for hentai and shonen like One Piece or Dragon Ball
watch /a/ fedoras get triggered by my opinion
>knows the exact source
>tells everyone they have a sick fetish
>all the filler episodes are just meh
>>Pierrot Le Fou
>>Sympathy for the Devil
>>Toys in the Attic
>>Speak Like a Child
Rewatch Cowboy Bebop, those episodes are great.
I finally got around to finishing Akame Ga Kill a few weeks ago
it was ok
almost done with Nisekoi now, but god damn, nothing ever happens in that show
36 episodes of filler and 3 girls pussyfooting around one nerdy guy trying to figure out if they want to tell him they're in love with him
I did hear from a friend though that they're on chapter 200-something and still nothing has happened, and there's even 2-3 more keys
what the fuck?
The "filler" episodes all tie in perfectly with the show's overarching theme about confronting your past. And if you didn't appreciate the directorial quality of Pierrot le Fou, well, that just makes you an average clueless anime shitter actually.
Can you guys recommend me some anime movies that are good to watch when stoned?
Something like the first Ghost in the Shell movie / EoE or Jin Roh (I'm aware that these 3 movies are nothing alike at all)
Is Angels Egg any good?
After two years of on again off again reading Umineko I'm finally about to tackle Fate Stay Night.
Wish me luck /r9k/
Erika was best girl. Rosa was best aunt
>Does /r9k/ like anime?
Not really but I still watch the odd thing. Not watching anything from this season but this is my current backlog.
Blazing Transfer Student
Kyou Kara Ore Wa
Shounan Junai Gumi
Space Adventure Cobra
The only stuff from next season I plan to watch are JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 4 and the rest of Ushio And Tora and maybe Sakamoto Desu Ga.
I read much more manga now since it's got a lot more variety and I can get through more of it than I can with anime. Just finished reading or am currently reading these.
Blazing Transfer Student
Fly, Daddy, Fly
Peerless - The Legend of Edajima Heihachi!
Setting Up To Fail
Ultimate Path Private High School
can you recommend me some racing/motorsport anime? something like initial d or wangan midnight would be nice
It's an experimental/surreal/psycho series that has been praised by fans and critics alike. And as with every work that gets this praise, there are some who just don't get it. Maybe you're one of them?
You should at least read about the series after you finished it, so you can understand a lot of things that you probably missed (don't feel bad for that, everyone misses a fuckton of thing while watching a series like Lain).
Then rewatch it again, you will enjoy it a lot more.
Talking from experience.
Still, I live a life of infinite regret because:
1. There are not nearly enough delinquent anime in general
2. Whatever delinquent anime there is are usually short OVA series which remain unsubbed
3. There are not enough delqinuent manga scanlated and it will always be that way
4. All the live action delinquent stuff remains mostly unsubbed as well
This is not gureito daze. I can only re-read Ashit no Joe and Rookies so many times.
>for something more "adult" the stuff you posted seems to happy right now
If you want something Dark at least watch Cat Soup, don't be fooled by the cute cats, it's bleak as fuck.
Been meaning to watch more anime, but all my free time at the computer is spent doing shit
How do I discipline myself into watching more animuh? If I just get started I'll watch 10+ episodes, but it's the first one that's hard
Fellow oldfag of 31 here. Don't listen to >>26324266 He's probably a bitter contrarian.
Cowboy Bebop is great. A lot of people who never watch anime liked it on TV, so it's even normie-proof. As an oldfag, I would recommend it for people our age, because it's about these ghosts from your past haunting you. Watch it. You won't regret it.
Try to guess these ones, senpai. Most of them are currently airing so it should be fairly easy.
>candy show with the semen demon and armpit grill
>SAO but funny
>schoolgirls talk about pubes and constipation and inverted nipples
>better than idolm@ster
>neo armstrong cyclone jet armstrong cannon
Of course /r9k/ likes anime. It's a common medium of escapism for people like us.
I watched Shaman King and Dragonball Z when I was a little kid. I didn't even know what anime is, I just thought of it as cartoons. Serious, superior, badass cartoons.
Later on when the weebhype took on in my country I decided to watch some more. I went for Mirai Nikki and loved it, then I watched something else about a ghost of a 100-year old schoolgirl named Yuuko.
After that I went for Naruto and gave up after Shippuden's Pain saga, thus ending my adventure with eastern animation.
would you a 3DPD Satsuki-chan?
I think I've turned into a full waifuist because I can't get Yukari from Girls und Panzer out of my fucking head.
Anyway, I'm watching the following
>Arpeggio of Blue Steel
Arpeggios pretty damn good. Loving all of the naval engagements.
You will call me cancer or normal fag or whatever, but I have only watched the popular main stream stuff.
Neon Genesis Evangelion
One Punch Man
Attack on Titan
When I was younger I watched basically all of DBZ and season 1/2 of Yu gi oh. I also watched a bunch of the early Pokemon episodes.
I much prefer regular tv. Currently re watching early supernatural. I watched the show before years ago. I saw s1-4 some of 5,6 and a bunch of 7.
Haven't watched anime since 3 years.
After I watched Champloo and Bebop, I watched monster and then I could not find a decent mature anime.
Can someone recommend something like the ones I mentioned? Something with characters who finished high school, and preferably without 20 females to each male character.
Another absentminded casual going with the stream reporting in, though I never really indulge in any content and have no strong opinion on any such content one way or the other, and certainly don't watch television.
My anime list (in the order I remember them, not the order I watched them in):
Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt
One Punch Man
Bleach (up until
Ichigo regains his Shinigami powers, but I skipped the filler arc immediately preceding this)
Yu-Gi-Oh Season 0
Never really considered watching anime to waste time until I dove fucking headfirst into Bleach for whatever reason before dropping it. Trying to keep up with Konosuba, cause I think it's sick. It's the most I've ever enjoyed an anime.
>i much prefer regular tv
normalfag cancer pls go now
I go to my bookmarked anime, close my eyes, scroll wildly, and pick something at random, then don't open my eyes till the first episode is up on fullscreen. Then I tell myself I have to watch the whole thing.
Just watched Katanagatari this way, /comfy/ af. BTW, anyone not watching Boku Dake ga Inai Machi right now is missing out, it's a top tier manga and so far a top tier anime.
Dagashi Kashi, have ep5 open right now
KonoSuba, only just started it so catching up
Grimgar, started it because I mistook it for KonoSuba actually. It's ok though. Behind a bit
Koukaku no Pandora, started because people mentioned loli robots. It's not really my thing, though. Also behind on it so going to give it one more ep before deciding to drop or not
Naruto Shippuuden, I'm about a month or so behind though. Fucking filler kills any momentum I have with that show. I didn't watch it for almost a year at one point. Marathoning all the non-filler after that break was fucking great though
Rewatching Rockman.EXE because I loved those games when I was in middle school and I started but never fully finished the anime series back then. Felt nostalgic so I dug it up
This season is boring, besides Musagen and Konosuba is there anything else worth watching? They really need to make an S2 of Yuyushiki.
I watched Higurashi and Higurashi Kai a few days ago. Pretty damn good anime in my own humble opinion to be honest famjam. I loved it when Shion went absolutely fucking nuts.
Is there any anime like this one?
I tried watching it a few years ago but after
the arc where the green-haired bitch killed the loli, then the male protagonist and falls off the balcony of a buildingI got way too fucking bored and just fucking stopped. I checked the wikipedia page for it randomly like a year later, and there are so many fucking episodes to this anime it's ridiculous, and I heard the manga is superior and to be read, anyway. Really not motivated to start watching this again, but would you recommend it?
If you like several shot tragedies fueled by paranoia and murder, yeah sure go ahead. If you liked Umineko, you might like Higurashi, its supposed to be the same concept I think.
How the hell did you get bored of this?
I started typing out a post for you, but I kept reformatting it so many times I just closed it out to start over. :(.
I don't think the series is for me, senpai. I'm sorry. I already know what I'd be getting into since I watched so much of it already, and I know it disappointed me, so I probably shouldn't go back to it. I went into it looking for
shock content, and it sort of delivered in that regard, but, idk. idk. I should probably just stick to the occasional ecchi/ hentai, where I can easily get something out of it and not be disappointed
>Working!! (just finished s1, this anime is perfect. Laugh multiple times each episode and find myself smiling)
>Dagashi (boring but like the girls)
>Dimension W (looks great, interested in the story)
>IBO (because why bother dropping it when its almost over)
>Phantom World (Kyoani animates so well the shit story barely matters, but Amiagi s2 when?)
>Schwarzesmarken (never watched any other muv but edgy on purpose is fun)
>Luck and Logic (because I will more than likely play the games)
>Boku Dake (because its great even if Ive read the manga)
>Bubuki Buraki (weird cgi that half looks like shit half looks good)
>Galko chan/ Mahou Nante/ Sekko boys (10 minutes why not)
>Kono Subarashi (why is a DEEN show this good)
>Rakugo (fujoshit or not, its got great characters)
This has been a good season over all, although in some ways I look forwards to getting back to my backlog next season (since only 3-4 shows looks remotely interesting/ backlog type shows)
I finally finished Legend of the Galactic Heroes last night. It was a long journey and probably the best anime journey I will ever have. I'll start watching Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2199 tonight and then get through the assorted LoGH prequels/other stories.
As for currently airing, there's a few:
>Prince of Stride
It's pretty fun I guess, I doubt one cour will work well enough for a sports anime (that's not Ping Pong) for it to be memorable though.
MC is a bit of a dick and the writing is shit. The relationship between Chika and MC is nice though.
It looks pretty but there's zero depth
I guess it's entertaining, but I'm mainly watching it because it's an original. Also the OP is really great.
>Boku Dake ga Inai Machi
Easily top 2 of the season, although the last episode was a bit of a step down
>Shoujo-tachi etc etc etc
Terrible writing, should drop
I like it a lot more than I liked the manga. It's cute.
Pretty shit to be honest
It's okay but I'd prefer if there were more politics
>Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju
The other half of the "really good" group.
Surprisingly doesn't look horrible for a CG anime. Plot is garbage though.
It finds new ways to let me down each week
I love it but sometimes it feels a little too focused on characters and making everyone out to be a good guy.
Aside from the one character that danced over the potential sexual assault line, it's great
Refreshing because of the pacing. I need to watch episode 5 though.
The world seems interesting and the characters are nice enough. Depending on where it goes from here it could end up being pretty decent
It's not as good as the first cour/season so far but it's still really enjoyable. Ponytail Shirayuki best Shirayuki.
And that's it, excluding a couple of shorts and Koyomimonogatari.
Just rewatching gurren laggan with my first time friend. Just as good as I remembered. I only watch anime that was reviewed extremely well by weeaboos because I don't have time to sort through the boring shit. Oh and I read more hentai than anime
>spidergirl, centaur, harpy, cripple, and what seems to be a lamia (nvm it's just a daki judging by your filename)
>all in the same room
what unholy fetish-filled anime is this senpai?
Cripple is a mermaid. Theres also a slime and dullahan amongst the main girls. How do you not know the glory of monster musume? The themesong is GOAT.
the name is Monster Musume No Iru Nichijou
Pic related, best girl, and she let her master ride her without question
I recently finished Death Note for the third time. Considering to watch Samurai X cause I never watched it completely, but some vague episodes when I was a child and it was on tv
>I recently finished Death Note for the third time
Not sure if the following is worth saying in spoiler tags, but I thought the most common opinion on the following was that Death Note went to shit and might not even be worth watching after
L dies. Do you not agree with that in any way?
My nigga, I'm watching Lucky Star too. Tsukasa is the fucking cutest. I can barely handle watching her. Mushishi is top-tier too. Erased has been good so far, but I recommend you try out the Rakugo show this season.
AOTYAY if you only consider the second half, otherwise still top notch
Not him, but Koyomimonogatari has gotten better since Ep 1. It really feels like a back to Bake experience compared to the other seasons.
Just wondering, have you seen Watamote?
Get off the ride while you can m8
It's slow, but by the end you realize how amazing it is. Easily unmatched in what it does.
You'd probably really like Love Lab, Yuyushiki, Sora no Woto, and even Hidamari Sketch (if you can make it past S1).
Seconding this guy >>26325044
Dagashi Kashi, KonoSuba, Phantom World, Galko, ???, ???
She'd make a better Ryuuko
I would give up a kidney and half my liver for more Yukari
Shoujo/Josei is pretty great. That's one of the better ones too. It's too bad the second season was all about muh misunderstandings and pretending the progress in S1 didn't matter.
2199 is fantastic, have you seen the original?
>Do you not agree with that in any way?
No, I think the whole serie is awesome, would even watch it one more time in the future. I think the fact that
L diesonly makes weaboos and otakus upset cause they become obsessed with characters, so when L diesthey lose interest in the rest.
Also I feel like most people didn't like Near.
Near was hella dope. He had the same curious mannerisms as L so if any were to succeed L it would be near, imo. The other guy who ate chocolate seemed like a homofaggot to me. hated him. Fuck him. He was actually what broke my disbelief and made the series that much less enjoyable for me.
I found it very unrealistic that a kid like him could be even remotely worthy of any respect, especially by the likes he hung around, and every time I saw him on screen I was wondering why he wasn't being bent over and raped
Some but there has to be an actually story unlike most slice of life crap.
Finished watching JoJo during the Fall and I just finished reading part IV now.
>I found it very unrealistic that a kid like him could be even remotely worthy of any respect
I kind of felt the same way about Near when I watched death note for the first time, and Near looks even younger than he already is, but remember they are specially gifted kids, Near is smarter and Mello is more like a tough guy who uses violence and crime to get what he wants. Also Mello's mannerism is eating chocolate, which makes him more similar to L cause he used to eat sweets all the time.
>Also Mello's mannerism is eating chocolate, which makes him more similar to L cause he used to eat sweets all the time.
Yeah, I understood that. Near exuded L's presence in everything he was, but Mello was the other half of him, expressed by his always eating chocolate bars.
I know Mello is supposed to be a tough guy and shit, but still, he looked like such a tryhard sissy.
>I know Mello is supposed to be a tough guy and shit, but still, he looked like such a tryhard sissy.
Yeah I know what you mean. I still think he's pretty cool.
Dude, I just watched the first scene of the first episode of this and my penis has never been more erect. Thank you for this.
>Udagawachou de Mattete yo is gud
>Udagawachou de Mattete
Not him, but I just searched this on google images and this appears to feature men, not boys :(((
but I guess that's what shota is, I dunno.... but what I saw were manga images, anyway, not anime, if that matters
