After I pay for rent, utilities etc. I have about 45-60 dollars a month for food. I mostly live off of rice.

After my neighbor moved in I visited and asked if I could borrow a can of beans for a recipe. I saw that they also had canned lentils and pretended like I needed that for the "recipe" and took both. I "borrow" canned food from them maybe twice a week. They recently asked if they could try some of the stuff I make and I suggested a mini-potluck. They came over with a seafood casserole yesterday godamn it was so good and I told them I accidentally burned my dish and had to dump it.

The neighbor on the other side of my apartment likes to cook a lot so I pretend that I love the smell of their cooking and beg for the leftovers. Three weeks ago they gave me some leftover steak fajitas and man, that had to be the best shit I've had in a month.

If either of my neighbors knew I'm asking them for food cause I'm poor I'd kill myself.
